Beim Herabdrücken des in bekannter Weise auf dem Maschinengestell 10 gelagerten beweglichen Elektrodenarmes mittels der Druckstange 9 spannen die nachgiebige Elektrode 4 und die im Arm 1 ortsfest gelagerte Elektrode 2 das Werkstück zwischen sich ein, bis nach Überwindung der eingeschalteten Feder 7 die sich gegenüberstehenden Kontaktflächen zwischen der beweglichen Elektrode und ihrem Arm zur Berührung kommen und den Strom schließen.
