Die Erfindung besteht darin, die Anlagerung von Wasserstoff in Kohlenwasserstoffe unter Druck und in der Wärme in Gegenwart von elektrolytisch gewonnenem Eisen vorzunehmen. Gegenüber dem auf sonst übliche Weise durch Reduktion von Eisenverbindungen hergestellten Eisen weist das auf elektrolytischem Wege aus Eisensalzlösungen, z. B. mittels Platinelektroden, gewonnene Eisen eine schnellere Wirkung und vollkommene Wifderstarndsfähigkeit gegen alle Kontaktgifte auf. Man kann -sich leicht von diesen Wirkungen überzeugen, wenn man Naphthalin unter gleichen Bedingungen mit -Wasserstoff im Drizcl@gefäß nebeneinander unter Verwendung der beiden Eisensorten erhitzt.The invention consists in the addition of hydrogen in hydrocarbons to be carried out under pressure and with heat in the presence of electrolytically obtained iron. Druck mit Wasserstoff behandelt werden. Alsdann wird der Inhalt des Autöklaven auf etwa i2o° abgekühlt. Hierauf entleert man ihn; man erhält fast i ooo kg wasserstoffreiche, also hochwertige Kohlenwasserstoffe, die in gewünschter Weise weiter aufzuarbeiten sind.
