Zum Bewegen der Kulisse würde zwar schon ein Ring genügen, dieser müßte aber in der Kulisse einen kleinen Spielraum haben, .da er sich sonst nicht drehen könnte. Infolge dieses Spielraumes entstehen bei jedem Hubwechsel Stöße, die den Verschleiß der ganzen Maschine sehr beschleunigen und außerdem Geräusch verursachen, so daß ein solches Getriebe für höhere Umdrehungszahlen nicht verwendbar ist. Um das zu vermeiden, werden zwei Ringe nebeneinander angeordnet, von denen einer rechts und der andere links gegen .dieKulisse drückt, während auf der Rückseite beide frei laufen, weil die Kulisse hier ausgespart ist. Die Kulisse ist außerdem so geteilt, daß beide Hälften derselben durch Schrauben f und g gegen die Ringe gedrückt werden können.
