Ebenso können nebeneinander montierte Installationsbausteine direkt miteinander gekuppelt werden. Aufgrund einer Minimierung der Breitenabmessung des Installationsbausteins von bisher etwa 500 bis 450 mm auf nunmehr etwa 450 bis 400 mm, die möglich ist durch entsprechende Leitungsverlegung innerhalb des Installa­ tionsbausteins und durch eine geringere Einbettieffe der Leitungen im Randbereich des Bausteins, können wegen des damit geschaffenen Zwischenraums zwischen nebenein­ ander montierten Installationsbausteinen die Wasseran­ schlüsse 28, 29 plan an der Bausteinaußenseite liegen, d. h. Ausnehmungen für die Wasseranschlüsse können ent­ fallen. Der jeweils nicht benutzte Wasseranschluß wird durch einen Gewindestopfen dicht verschlossen. Damit am nicht benutzten Wasseranschluß und zugehörigem Lei­ tungszweig kein stagnierendes Wasser auftritt, sind die Wasseanschlüsse der gegenüberliegenden Bausteinsei­ ten jeweils durch eine Ringleitung 30 bzw. 31 verbunden, von denen je eine Ableitung 32 bzw. 33 zu den Armaturen­ anschlüssen abgeht.
