Abstract

In coin-counting machines, for packaging purposes it is necessary to have, for a relatively large number of acceptable coins of each type, counting devices which necessitate not only exact coin recognition, but also rapid cost-effective sorting, along with a small space requirement and easy convertibility. In view of the complexity of international coin circulation, the appliance works with a compact multiple sensor for diameter, material, thickness and edge quality, which obtains its comparison parameters from coins predetermined by the user and which, during operation, adjusts an acceptance or rejection channel from these.
