Bevorzugt werden dazu Korde oder Einfachgarne aus Polyamid oder Polyester verwendet. Der Modul dieser Verstärkungselemente ist verhältnismäßig groß, so daß bei der Fertigung des Reifens unter Wärme und Druck hohe Spannungen in den Verstärkungselementen vorliegen. Bei der Reifenfertigung unter Druck und Wärme, insbesondere Vulkanisation und Nachvulkanisation, wird eine Erhebung von rund 2-4% erzielt. Durch die Verwendung von Geweben mit den vorerwähnten Merkmalen des Gesamttiters und hoher Drehung der Filamente pro m ergibt sich eine verhältnismäßig geringe Spannung pro Faden. Der Modul der Verstärkungselemente ist demzufolge .niedrig.
