Suspension cable coupling for cable cars. The invention relates

The proposed arrangement is that the overflow sleeves are threaded

will. The coupling sleeves are here with the outer part and the socket center part with
Internal thread provided. This results at the same time as the possibility of
Insertion of the pins the advantage of one compared to the known arrangements of suspension cable couplings
much shorter design, which is particularly important because in the proposed
Arrangement the length of the stiff point not participating in the bending of the rope
pulled down the smallest imaginable minimum amount and thus the rope kink so small
is designed as possible.
In Figs. I to 3 an embodiment of the proposed
Arrangement shown, namely Fig. I shows a longitudinal section, Fig. Z and 3 each
a cross section.
An
Hülsen gleichzeitig anschneidenden Stift g gesichert. a, a are the two coupling sleeves encapsulated with the rope ends, which are provided with external threads on their sides facing each other, onto which the internally threaded sleeve center part b can be screwed. At the other ends, the coupling sleeves a are provided with a few strong threads c, onto which the overflow sleeves d are screwed. The latter thread is made with little play, so that a certain flexibility and change in position of the overflow sleeves with respect to the coupling sleeves is made possible. Unscrewing is prevented by the pins f inserted through the holes e before the coupling sleeves are connected to the central part.On the other hand, the central part b is secured against loosening from the coupling sleeves a by the only pin g that cuts both sleeves at the same time.
