Description
The present invention has the purpose of providing moving metal rods, i. H. Rods, which from emerge from a rolling mill or from a press and are still in motion, to cut up while moving. The known devices of this type, all are more or less extensive and not exactly easy, suffer from the disadvantage, ■ that they are due to the large number of machine parts from which they are assembled require restoration work 'more frequently', not to mention the high acquisition costs of such cutting devices.
Die Schneidvorrichtung, welche zum Schneiden ein schrägThe known devices, especially those with an oblique cut, are in Build a little easier, but still have some disadvantages. The cutting device, which for cutting an oblique
Dieses findet seine Grenze jedoch wieder dadurch, daß der Stab sehr schräg abgeschnitten werden muß und infolgedessen die zu trennende Querschnittfläche bedeutend wird und die Abmessungen der ganzen Schneidvorrichtung infolgedessen ziemlich groß werden.ao used to the roll bar attached knife-like knife, has the disadvantage that during the Cut the rod is stopped for a very short time, until. he completely is cut through. Only after the rod has been completely cut through can the tip be of the following bar on the knife set at an angle to the direction of travel Slide it sideways until it finally passes the knife edge completely. This Pushing it past creates a frictional force between the rod on the cutting blade, one component of which is the rod emerging from the roller or press Buckling claims, and the greater the less oblique the knife to the rod stand. In order to eliminate these errors, the inclined position of the knife should as possible to be taken big. This, however, finds its limit again in that the stick must be cut very obliquely and consequently the cross-sectional area to be separated becomes significant and the dimensions of the whole cutting device as a result get pretty big.
Werden die Quer-Another cutting device in which an oblique to the rod axis is used for cutting If circular scissors are used, this avoids these inconveniences, because during the cut The tip of the rod continues to move forward at an angle until it is completely cut through and inevitably carried away by the circular and rotating shear blades will. A frictional component that stresses the subsequent member against buckling, does not occur with this device, however, as the thickness of the rod increases, the circular cutting blades in the ' Diameter can be increased because otherwise the angle of gripping between the rod and the cutter becomes too big and the razor knife at the circumference despite artificial roughening no longer grasp the staff. The cutting blades cannot have any diameter should be kept small, but the diameter depends, as just said, on the Thickness of the rod. Will the transverse
The simple cutting device of the present invention avoids these inconveniences. It consists in that the inclined scissors with such a cutting speed is moved so that its component falling in the direction of travel of the rod is the same ίο or greater than the speed of progress of the staff is. This makes the later complete during the cutting cut tip of the following rod moved obliquely and even after the cut of the movable one Shear knife pushed past the stationary further until the rod is behind the fixed cutting blade finds a completely free outlet.

Ι shows the cutting device before the cut. Stabachse liegenden Bolzen a drehbar gelagert. Above the plate, a fixed knife, projecting attached c (in Fig. Ι-dotted lines since it is partly hidden). "Offset from the movable shearing blade h is on the scissor levers i yet a lever-like extension e attached, which in Fig. Ϊ just the fixed shearing blade overlaps and prevents the current bar at the fixed Messerkant'e loops. M'it the aid of a d on the bolt engaging force can the lever i together with its movable cutter l and the lever extension e rotate so far that the cutter b completely overlaps the cutter c , as indicated by the lever position in Fig. 2. In Fig. 4, the scissor lift itself is omitted for the sake of clarity and only the lever-like extension -e and the movable cutter b are drawn. Der Arbeitsgang ist folgender: In Fig. 1The operation is as follows: In Fig. 1
Nunmehr kann ein weiterer Schnitt ausgeführt werden.; the rod labeled g runs from the observer perpendicular to the plane of the drawing and also on the right past the fixed cutter c and the lever-like extension e . In FIG. 4, the direction of travel is indicated by an arrow direction /. If a force 0 now acts on the free end of the lever (on the bolt d) of lever i (Fig. 1), the lever rotates around and the rod is cut on an inclined plane. The movable cutter b pushes past the fixed cutter c until the rod finds a free outlet behind the fixed cutter. Fig. 2 illustrates the position of the scissor lever i and the movable knife b after the cut. In Fig. 4, the new course of the roll bar is indicated by dotted lines and denoted by h. In order to be able to carry out another cut, the rod must be returned from position h to position g . This is brought about by the lever-like extension e at the moment when the force p (Fig. 3) occurs in the opposite direction of ο (Fig. 1) at the free lever end of the lever i. The lever-like extension e then pushes the roller rod, grasping it from behind, over the inclined knife holder of the fixed knife c and transports it back to its original position. In the meantime the scissor lever has taken up the position according to FIG. 1 again. Another cut can now be made.
During the cutting of the bar, when the particles are still connected in the cutting plane, the rolling stock is transported in the running direction. In Fig. 5 the movement conditions are shown. Let the cutting plane form the angle α with the running bar. Then the mean speed q caused by the movement of the movable shear blade b generates the lateral speed τ and ^ during the cutting process. The lateral speed r coincides with the direction of travel of the rod and is expediently chosen to be approximately equal to the magnitude of the rod speed. With the lateral speed s there is a lateral displacement of the rod tip during cutting. The tip of the rod will never be stopped during the iac cutting, even if the rod is not yet fully
Even after cutting, when the rod tip is pressed along the fixed knife by the movable knife, the movement conditions are very similar to those shown in FIG. 5. The movement of the shear blade b always results in two lateral speeds, one of which roughly corresponds to the running speed of the rolling rod. The lateral speed r is expediently kept somewhat higher than the running speed of the rod, so that the rod is still pulled a little by the cutting edges and can never buckle between the roller or press and the cutting device. The rod is only stopped a little during a very short time at the beginning of the cutting movement, namely when the movable knife has not yet penetrated the rod so far that it moves the particles against one another in the sectional plane. However, it is practically irrelevant if one chooses the speed of the cutting blade b from the start so that the lateral speed r is somewhat greater than the running speed of the rod, and if one takes into account that the stopping time is extremely short and practically neglected because the cutting speed is usually high and the penetration depth of the movable shear blade is very small until the rod particles are displaced against each other.
For the mode of operation of the cutting device it is of course irrelevant whether lever scissors with a knife moving in the shape of a circular arc, as described above, or slide scissors with a knife moving in a straight line are used and whether the plate k with the scissors is horizontal or pivoted about the rod axis at an acute angle to the horizontal if only the condition is always fulfilled that the following rod tip is guided along the inclined knife by the movable one and this inclined movement is initiated again during the cutting.
