Fig. ι stellt eine horizontale Platte a mit aufrecht stehender Aufsenwand b und zwei Zwischenleisten c und d dar. In dieser Platte beöndet sich ein durchgehender Einschnitt, in welchem eine oben flache und unten abgerundete Welle e liegt, die an beiden Enden mit Zapfen f zum Drehen versehen ist. An dieser Welle sind Figuren η befestigt, während in der Platte α entsprechende Vertiefungen angebracht ' sind, in welche sich die Figuren so einlegen, dafs sie mit der Platte oben eine ebene Fläche bilden. Um die Welle ist ein Gummiband r geschlungen, welches so angespannt und bei s unten an der Platte befestigt ist, dafs die W^relle das Bestreben hat, sich nach einer Seite zu drehen. Durch den Sperrhaken ο (s. Durchschnitt, Fig. 2) wird die Welle, wenn die Figuren η horizontal in der Platte liegen, festgehalten.
