Abstract

The bag has a hinged closure flap and an internal light source powered by a battery. The light source is switched on when the flap is opened. The light source is only switched on within a part of the entire path through which the flap pivots. This part of the path lies at the end of the path followed by the flap as it is opened. The lighting unit (5) has a casing (7) to hold two batteries (button type) and two contacts lying in the path of a switching spring (12). The casing is attached to the inside of the bag, e.g. by fitting into a pocket.
