Diese Riemen gleiten leicht über Führungsrollen 4, die an zwei etwa einander gegenüberliegenden Stellen des Oberarmgürtels 5 angeordnet sind; der letztere wird oberhalb des Ellbogengelenkes befestigt-und stützt sich auf das natürliche Ellbogengelenk. Damit .dieser .Gürtel 5 sich an das Ellbogengelenk möglichst mit seiner Kante anpaßt, ist der Unterrand. desselben entsprechend ausgespart: Am Oberarmgürtel ist noch der von der Hand nach der Schulter führende Zugriemen A o. dgl. befestigt, der über die Arm- und Schulterhalteringe B hinwegführt. Durch .die Verbindung der Unterarmmanschette i mit dem Oberarmgürtel wird erreicht, daß eine Ein- und Auswärtsbewegung des Armes unbehindert vorgenommen werden kann. Die über die Gleitrollen 4 laufenden Riemen 2, 3 passen sich jeder Lage an und halten die Unterarmmanschette stets an den Armstumpf gepreßt, so daß ein Lokkern, der Manschette vom Armstumpf bei keiner Bewegung stattfinden kann. Ferner wird erreicht, daß man den Arm genau so beugen kann wie einen künstlichen.
