Abstract

1. Plug-and-socket arrangement for connecting multiwire cables (5) for connecting electrical modules to each other, especially for connecting the central processing unit of a computer with the peripheral devices, comprising a socket part (3) and a plug part in a plug housing (6), characterized in that in the plug housing (6) a circuit plate (26) carrying the electrical parts and the contacts (25) is connected to a bearing part (17), in that the plug housing (6) is movable relatively to the bearing part (17) against the force of a spring (20), in that the plug housing (6) partly by means of arresting projections provided for at itself or at the supporting part (17) is lockable by means of corresponding openings (10, 15) in the firmly arranged socket part (3), in that the counter-contacts (14) in the socket part (3) are so arranged that they penetrate the plug housing (6) with sufficient play, and in that a spring (11) arranged in the socket part (3) presses the plug housing (6) to the taking-off position when the locking of the plug housing (6) has been released by applying pressure thereon.
