Nach dem Aufstülpen wird der verbleibende Schnitt entweder mit einem Hakverschluß oder mit einem Klebestreifen versehen. Danach besitz das Rohr einen geschlossenen Mantel aus Weichschaum. Ebenfalls gibt es Halbschalen aus Hartschaum die jeweils zu 2 Stück gegeneinander um die Rohre gelegt werden und anschließend ebenfalls verklebt werden. Die zuvor aufgeführten Weichschaum u. Hartschaumisolierelemente bedürfen zu ihrer Herstellung jeweils einem aufwendigen Extrusionsverfahren Schaum oder SChneide - Fräßvorganges.
