Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes 311073 ist ein Verfahren nebst Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung von Leuchtgas sowie von Kraftgas neben wertvollem Koks in einem Ofen. In einem in seinem unteren Teile generatorartig ausgebildeten Schachtofen erfolgt die Entgasung des kohlenstoffhaltigen Gutes durch die strahlende Wärme, wie auch durch die heißen Gase des Generators, wobei die Erhitzung der Kohle usw. nur so weit getrieben wird, daß völlige Verkokung erfolgt, während nach Beendigung der Kokungsperiode durch stärkeres Blasen des Generators mit Luft oder Dampf die Entgasung völlig beendet wird. Bei der im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Vorrichtung hat sich nun gezeigt, daß die Verarbeitung solcher' Kohle (oder anderen kohlenstoffhaltigen Gutes), welche beim Verkoken stark zusammenbackt, mit gewissen Schwierigkeiten verbunden ist.The subject of main patent 311073 is a method and device for generating luminous gas and fuel gas in addition precious coke in an oven. Dies ist bei der Vorrichtung des Hauptpatentes nicht immer glatt ausführbar; die Schwierigkeiten lassen sich aber leicht beseitigen durch den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung. Dieser betrifft in erster Linie eine Vorrichtung, bei der Generator- und Ofenteil senkrecht nebeneinander angeordnet sind, wobei der Ofenteil sich nach unten zu etwas konisch erweitert.
