Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Abänderung des Eingußsteines nach dem Patent 285999. Gemäß diesem Patent wird das Ansetzen von Schlacke an der Blockform und die Bildung von Randblasen im Block dadurch vermieden, daß der Eingußstein eine Verlängerung der Blockform nach unten mit gleichem oder kleinerem inneren Querschnitt darstellt und einen etwa t.angentialen Einlauf erhält. Versuche haben gezeigt, daß das gleiche Ergebnis auch dann erzielt wird, wenn für mehrkantige (z. B. achteckige) Blöcke der Eingußstein einen runden Querschnitt besitzt, wobei dessen oberer Rand von der runden in die mehreckige Blockform übergehen kann. Der Einlauf bleibt wie bei dem Hauptpatent etwa tangential.The subject of the invention is a modification of the sprue block according to the patent 285999.
