Abstract

1. Method of manufacture of heat exchange elements, particularly for solar installations or electric heating apparatus, in which pipes (2) are inserted in semi-circular grooves (3) in metal sheets (1), and in which, after the introduction of the pipe (2) into its appropriate groove (3), the edge areas (4) of the groove (3) are pressed one against the other by means of pressing tools (5) in order to make the groove slit (6) smaller and to press the internal wall of the groove (3) on to the surface of the pipe (2), said condition being mechanically fixed, characterized in that for the mechanical fixing of the groove slit (6) reduced in size provision is made for additional connection elements (7;11, 12) which extend over the groove slit (6) and which become anchored into the material of the metal sheet (1) in the groove edge areas (4) by pressing.
