Abstract

The inside of the seat back is fitted with a parallelogram of levers (20,22) with one of the levers having a stop (23) on which the table flap (11) is supported. As the seat back is tilted the levers adjust and hold the table flap in the horizontal setting. When not used the flap is folded up and retained inside the seat back by a ratchet. The flap is backed by a decorative cover and has simple handgrips to pull down. It is hinged coaxial to one of the levers and has a cutaway shape to leave space for a handgrip and an ashtray on the back of the seat.
