Abstract

The lighting installation includes a normally-closed central switch (2) which can be opened against the action of a spring, to break the circuit to the lights (3,5,7). A first individual light switch (4) for the light (3) can be operated locally by an operating lever (12) in addition to being operable by attraction of a lever arm (11) by an electromagnet (11). If the central switch is opened briefly, the interruption of the magnetic field of the electromagnet causes the switch (4) to open due to gravitational force on the arm (11). Once the central switch is closed again, the switch contact (10) is opened so the switch (4) does not close again unless the lever (12) is used to close the contact (10). On the other hand, the switch (4) can be opened, even if the central switch is closed, by operating the operating lever (12) to pivot the arm (11) away from the electromagnet. A second individual switch (6) for lights (5) acts similarly to the first but uses an external lever arm (15) and a spring-urged normally-closed switch element (17) connected in series with the electromagnet (14).

Beleuchtungsanlagen Zusatz zum Patent ... (Patentanmeldung P 30 18 946.9) und zum Zusatzpatent .... Lighting systems addendum to the patent ... (patent application P 30 18 946.9) and the additional patent ....

(Additional patent application P 30 29 200.3) In the patent application P 30 18 947.9 is a single light switch with two-wire connection for automatic through Impulse switch controlled lighting systems described by a short-term Impulse operated switching element (1) with a single switching contact in the main circuit and two independently operable switching elements (2) and (3) with one Permanent switch position and a short-term adjustable, changeable switch position is characterized, wherein the one switching element (2) is arranged in the main circuit and closes the main circuit in its permanent switch position, while the other switching element (3) is connected in parallel to the switching element (1) so that it the main circuit in its briefly adjustable, changeable switch position also closes briefly when the main circuit is opened by the switching element (1) is. In a preferred embodiment, the switching element (1) is in the form of a formed by a solenoid to be actuated switching contact, the solenoid is switched in the main circuit, so that the switching contact is closed when Current flowing through the main circuit is kept closed as long as current flows through the main circuit, and opens when the current in the main circuit is interrupted. This solenoid-controlled switching elements enable although one assigned switching contact closed. Once the strength of the current flowing through the coil (4a) to at least 3, preferably 4 times the current strength at which the magnetic switch with the magnetic coil increases (4a) the associated contact just closes and keeps closed, the attraction force be it the other part of the U-shaped common magnetic core, be it the magnetic core with the two windings so strongly excited that the magnet coil (4b) assigned contact closes and can be kept closed.

Since this coil is designed for a larger magnet power, it is relieved the coil (4b) the coil (4a) in the case of load fluctuations in the upper range, so that excessive heating of the entire magnetic switch is avoided.

If the individual switch is to be switched off, press it of the switch (2,5) whose switch contact (5) is opened briefly and are conditional due to the power interruption, also the two contacts of the overall magnetic switch opened.

In the case of the innovation according to the invention, the range of fluctuation thus becomes divided by the magnetic power, so that the magnetic coil for reasons of resilience cannot be designed according to the greatest magnet power in the fluctuation range must in order not to generate excessive heat. The exact division of the total service area expediently takes place in such a way that the magnet coil designed for small magnet power covers about one third of the total fluctuation range and about two thirds of the Area is operated by the solenoid designed for greater solenoid power. The exact division is empirical for the respective design of double magnet and switching contacts.
