Pfei!stabilisiertes Wuchtgeschoß (Penetrator)Pfei! Stabilized impact projectile (penetrator)
The invention relates to an arrow stabilized balancing projectile according to the Preamble of claim 1.
Such a projectile is known from US-PS k 098 19 ^ · It has a core made of a tungsten alloy steel in a cylindrical aluminum body. In the tubular aluminum body, recesses are provided for releasable axial positive locking with a sabot arrangement. A rear part of the projectile is designed as a carrier for the stabilizing tail unit.
In a projectile of the type described above, it is disadvantageous that through the high aluminum content - the cylindrical body or the tube must Considering the interlocking means, a considerable wall thickness exhibit - the average density is affected.
In order to achieve the highest possible penetration performance with a multiple target with such a penetrator, after
'the penetration of a pre-parization and before hitting a behind this arranged main armor as large as possible Penetration mass and thus the largest possible amount of energy available :,a. '
10The invention is based on the object of also having the mass of the rear part of the penetrator, designed as a tail girder, still available for further penetration after penetration of the pre-armor.
10
This problem is solved by the characterizing part of the claim specified invention.
The invention achieves a double effect: the detachment of the tail unit from the penetrator not only prevents a loss of mass, which would occur when the relevant penetrator part was torn off, but also a loss of speed which would occur if the tail unit remained in connection with the penetrator under undesired conditions Enlargement of the penetration channel at the target passage tei lnö'iüie. Overall, the invention advantageously results in an increase in performance in the range of up to 15 %.
In the following, the invention is based on three in the drawing, essentially schematically and dispensing with anything that is not essential to the invention Details of illustrated embodiments of the explained in more detail.

BAD ORIGINALBATH ORIGINAL
In FIG. 1, a penetrator 1 has a rear part b of circular cross section with a circumferential area 8 and a rear surface 9. The backside I icje Tc: ΐ 1 6 is designed as a carrier Γ Ci ι a Slvibi-1isierungsleitwerk 10. Extending radially uußcn and parallel to the central longitudinal axis A extending fins 12 of the tail unit 10 are connected lh integrally with a thin tubular sleeve; whose clear diameter is adapted to the outer diameter of the part 6 for fastening the sleeve lh in the peripheral region 8 by soldering or gluing. In addition to the requirements of a high-speed trajectory, the mechanical strength of the fastening is essentially only adapted to the launch acceleration. This is much smaller than the target-side deceleration, so that when the penetrator 1 hits a target, not shown, the attachment of the tail unit 10 to the carrier (rear part 6) is already so loosened or canceled due to the extremely high negative acceleration forces At the latest at the mutual contact of the tail unit 10 with an armor plate on the target side, the tail unit 10 detaches from the carrier and leaves it undamaged. Advantageously, the parts 12 and 11 of the tail unit 10 are very thin-walled in order to represent only a dead load that is as low as possible in addition to a low coefficient of air resistance. The latter is defined here as the mass that is not involved in the breakdown and should therefore not exceed a functional minimum. Due to the aforementioned behavior of the tail unit 10 when it hits the target, it also does not form a braking obstacle. This would be the case in the case of a fastening which does not sufficiently take into account the braking forces when hitting the target, especially since the entire rear part 6 is often even torn off, the mass of which is disadvantageously lost for the breakdown.
The second embodiment of Figure 2 differs from that of Figure 1 by an arrangement of the tail 10, wherein the sleeve \ h the rear side projects beyond the rear face 9 and a receptacle 22 is only indicated for a tracer o.dgl.'2'i forms.
Rich 8 of the rear part 6 of the penetrator 1 for each fin 12 an axially parallel groove h with an axially parallel groove base k l . The F'lo -.- se 12 is inserted into the groove h that ~ a foundation surface 13 is directly adjacent to the groove base V and then by LOL or gluing in the peripheral area 8 of the rear part 6 b (iü'j L i ·] The soldering or adhesive connection is designed in such a way that el.iss sii mil Γ> ic: Fierhc it then occurs during the discharge acceleration occurring and at the latest with the mutual Touching the fl osijt; 12 with target material is lifted.
K , each fin 12 of the tail unit 10 has an essentially triangular part 16 which is adapted to a groove k in the circumferential area 8 for attachment by gluing or soldering. A ground of courage has a surface 5 against the penetrator I ängs.ii hsv Λ in the weft direction S, on which L'ine. in the weft direction S with respect to the longitudinal axis A of the penetrator, a surface 7 which rises comparatively flat to the circumferential surface of the penetrator 1 is connected. After the penetrator 1 hits the target side, the surface of the groove k loses its support function in that the fin 12 continues to move in the direction of the arrow S due to its inertia. This removes the fastening, the surface 18 moves away from the surface 5 and the surface 20 starts to move at high speed along the surface 7 and moves away from the rear part with a radial and axinK-n ßewi-qungskoniponente 6, so that this r j iingr-h i ndor t can participate in the sleep through.
