Sie ersetzt jede Heizung für Räume die mit Teppichboden ausgestattet werden können. Ihre besondere Bedeutung erhält sie durch ihre Verwendbarkeit im Altbau, da sie ohne baulichen Veränderungen verlegt werden kann. Auf Steinfußböden o. ä. wird mit einem Wärmedämmungs-Belag isoliert.
