Abstract

The tool holder (1) seated in the housing (11) is fitted with a mechanism by which it can be rotated by an optional angle. The holder carries on part of its circumference a number of teeth (2) in the axial direction, meshing with corresp. teeth (12) on a rack element (3). The rack is a block with a tapped hole in which a threaded spindle (5) operates. The block is slidingly seated in a housing (4) mounted on the tool holder housing. Axial space (14) is provided in both directions of the block sliding movement. The stem of the threaded spindle (5) has a shoulder (5a) seated in a recessed housing, providing anchorage of the spindle axially. The part of the stem projecting from the housing can be rotated in either direction by hand via a crank or mechanically by an electric or hydraulic motor.
