The invention relates to a heating tape for the anti-condensation heating of an electrical machine that is connected to
the winding heads of the machine and arranged via a connecting line to an electrical power source
connected is. Such a heating tape is known from DE-AS 26 35 687.
For machines that are designed for increased safety, e.g. B. explosion-proof machines, the
Regulation that the ignition group temperature is not exceeded at any point in the machine. Farther
the regulations require that the heating tapes provided must be moisture-proof. Particular difficulties
occur here at the junction between the connection of the heating tape and the connection line
on. In order to be able to enclose the connecting parts in a moisture-proof manner, relatively large casings are required
necessary, which cannot be accommodated because of the very limited space at the winding head.
The invention is based on the object of a heating tape for the anti-condensation heating of an electrical
Design the machine in such a way that it meets the requirements for machines with increased safety.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the heating tape, including its connection point with the connecting line, is covered with an insulating tube and the space between the insulating tube and the heating tape and connecting line is filled with cast resin, the end of the insulating tube protruding beyond the heating tape being sealed by the cast resin .
The material of the insulating tube and the casting resin as well as the material of the connection line are matched to one another in such a way that they connect well to one another and thus close the connection point in a moisture-proof manner. A tight connection between the casting resin and the covering of the heating tape is therefore not necessary.
Wickel leicht die Gefahr einer örtlichen ÜberhitzungWhen using heating tapes with a wire coil, there are irregularities in the
Easily wrap the risk of local overheating
besteht.of the heating tape. According to one embodiment of the invention, such overheating can be avoided by
that the heating element of the heating tape is made of a material with a positive temperature coefficient (PTC resistor)
consists.
The subject of the application is based on an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing
described in more detail below.
Heizbandes 1 eine Verbindung eingeht oder nicht.1 with a heating tape is referred to, which consists of two strands 2 and 3, between which a material with a positive temperature coefficient (PTC resistor) is arranged as a heating element 4. Such a material has a self-regulating effect and prevents overheating. The junction at which the strands 2 and 3 are connected to the wires 6 and 7 of a connecting line 8 is identified by 5. Over the full length of the heating tape 1 and the connection point and part of the length of the connecting line 8, an insulating tube 9 is pushed, which protrudes slightly beyond the heating tape 1 at its free end. The space between the heating band, the connection point and the connection line is filled with casting resin 10, by means of which the end 11 of the insulating tube 9 protruding beyond the heating band 1 is closed.
In particular in the case of heating tapes with a PTC resistor as the heating element, the casing of the heating tape usually consists of a fluoropolymer, which is difficult to bond with another material. Therefore, great difficulties arise with regard to the moisture-proof arrangement in particular with such heating tapes. These can be solved in a simple manner with the arrangement described. Since the insulating tube 9 is sealed moisture-tight at its end 11 and at the part protruding from the connecting line 8 by the casting resin, it does not matter whether the casting resin is connected to the casing of the heating tape 1 or not.
