Abstract

A method of purifying air to be fed into a protected working zone or automobile cabin utilizes a filter consisting of a permeable support on/in which chemical absorption materials and/or catalysts are laid. The incoming air is entirely or partly heated before it reaches the filters. When the appts. is in use, the normal fresh air inlet ducts of an automobile are closed and the ventilator fan is converted for use as a pure circulating fan recycling the entire air content of the vehicle. In addn., a separate ventilator fan draws in air and expels it at above-atmospheric pressure into the circuit via the chemical absorption filter.
