Bei Anwendung der durch die Patente 290526 und 294524 geschützten Abdichtscheiben 3 werden die unteren Kreuzspulen durch mehr Abdichtscheiben belastet und mehr zusammengepreßt als die darüber aufgestellten. Dies hat auf die Führung der Abdichtscheiben keine Wirkung, solange alle Spulensäulen aus gleich harten oder gleich weichen Kreuzspulen bestehen. Besteht dagegen eine Spulensäule nur aus harten, eine danebenstehende nur aus weichen Spulen, so tritt ein Unterschied hinsichtlich der Höhe der Spulen und der Lage der einzelnen Abdichtscheiben ein. Da die weichen Kreuzspulen stärker zusammengepreßt werden, sinken auch die Abdichtscheiben bei diesen Spulen tiefer als die entsprechenden Scheiben der benachbarten, aus harten Spulen bestehenden Säule. Bei Verwendung der Abdichtscheibe 3 mit eingeschlossenem Hohlraum 10 werden alle Spulen gleichmäßig belastet. Selbst bei verhältnismäßig großem Unterschied hinsichtlich der Spulenhärte bei den einzelnen Säulen wird daher die Führung auch der unteren Abdichtscheiben nicht beachtlich beeinflußt.
