Die Lage bzw. der Verlauf der Schreiblesedistanzgrenze ist dabei abhängig von der Transponderantennenausführung. Mit kleinen Antennen können nur kurze Schreiblesedistanzen erreicht werden. Zur Erhöhung der Schreiblesedistanz ist der Einsatz großer Antennen erforderlich, was zu unerwünschten Baugrößen der Transponder führt.
Nachteilig ist weiterhin, daß die von der Größe und Bauart der Antennenspule abhängige Schreiblesedistanz bei Transpondem mit Koppelelement und zweiter Antennenspule wegen der Übertragungsverluste zwischen Transponder und Koppelelement kleiner ist, als bei Transpondem mit Chip und flächenmäßig der zweiten Antennenspule gleichgroßen Antennenspule.

Im gezeigten Beispiel befinden sich die Antennen 1 und 4 auf je einem Antennenträger 7, die eigentliche Antenne besteht hierbei aus einer Antennenwicklung 9 und in Reihe und/oder parallel geschalteten Kondensatoren 8. Es ist dabei erforderlich, die Antennen 1 und 4 auf gleiche oder annähernd gleiche Resonanzfrequenzen einzustellen.
Antennenträger 7 für eine Schreibleseantenne 1 kann zum Beispiel eine Wand oder eine in einen Wandschlitz eingesetzte Trägerfläche sein, als Antennenträger 7 für eine Blindantenne 4 kann z. B. eine Glasscheibe dienen.
