Description

Cleaning bathtubs is usually a laborious and time-consuming task. Whether it is a "small" cleaning after bathing (rinsing away bath residues) or a "large" cleaning (complete cleaning with cleaning agents) - in both cases you have to use the shower head to laboriously and time-consumingly remove the bath or cleaning residues down the drain. This process is all the more time-consuming the more residues there are to be removed. The cleaning process using the shower head is often done in a bent position, which in turn puts massive strain on the spine.

The invention described in claim 1, a device for automatically cleaning bathtubs, eliminates the disadvantages of the cleaning method described above. The invention essentially consists of the following elements:

1. Wall bracket for shower head (Figure 2 and number 1 in Figures 1 and 4)

2. Cleaning pipe with cleaning nozzles (Figure 3 and number 2 in Figures 1, 2 and 4)

3. Padded cover (item 3 in Figures 1 and 4)

1) Wall bracket for shower head

The wall mount for the shower head has the following special features:

1. Their size is matched to the diameter of the shower head.

2. It has a special bracket (item 1.1 in Figure 2) or, optionally, another fastening option (screw thread, clamping device, etc.) for fixing the shower head or for connecting it to the wall bracket.

3. It has a connection option on the bottom (item 1.2 in figure 2) for the cleaning pipe (item 2 in figures 1,2,3 and 4).

2) Cleaning pipe with cleaning nozzles

The cleaning pipe (number 2 in Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4) connected to the wall bracket (see above) runs in a ring shape along the upper edge of the inner wall of the bathtub. It is connected to the padded cover (number 3 in Figures 1 and 4) using clamp fasteners, for example. The nozzles of the cleaning pipe (number 9 in Figure 3) point downwards, towards the bottom of the tub.

3) Padded cover

The padded cover of the invention described here primarily serves to fix the cleaning pipe in place and to conceal it. The cover is attached using suction cups (number 4 in Figure 1), for example, which are pressed onto the upper edge of the bathtub. The padding on the top and inside of the cover is for comfort and is intended to provide a soft and comfortable place to rest your arms while bathing.

1. Handling after bathing (“small” cleaning)

In order to automatically remove bath residues after bathing, the shower head is hung in the wall bracket provided for this purpose or attached to it. Then the switch lever of the fitting (number 5 in Figures 1 and 4) is placed in the shower position. After opening the tap, the water first flows via the shower hose (number 6 in Figures 1 and 4) into the shower head (number 7 in Figures 1, 2 and 4) and from there via the wall bracket (number 1 in Figures 1, 2 and 4) into the cleaning

pipe. There it is guided in a ring shape around the upper edge of the bathtub wall and exits as a water jet (number 8 in Figure 1) via the cleaning nozzles (number 9 in Figure 3).

2. Handling during the "major" cleaning (cleaning with detergent)

When used in combination with a self-acting active cleaner, the invention described here can almost completely automate the cleaning of the tub. To do this, the inner wall of the tub is sprayed with the active cleaner. After a short exposure time, the cleaning substance is automatically rinsed from the tub wall into the drain as described above under point 1 (see "Handling after bathing").

Device for the automatic cleaning of bathtubs, characterized in that it has an annular cleaning pipe with integrated cleaning nozzles running along the inner wall of the bathtub.
