Mobile table for attaching to motor vehicles

The invention relates to a mobile table for clamping to motor vehicles with a table top and a fastening element.

When travelling in a car, there is often a need to have a table to rest on. In this case, folding tables with foldable table legs can be taken along. However, these are relatively unwieldy.

The object of the invention was therefore to create an easily stowable and easy-to-handle mobile table for clamping onto motor vehicles, which is ready for use in the shortest possible time.

The object is achieved by the mobile table according to claim 1 in that a fastening element is designed for hooking into a locking bracket, preferably for a vehicle lock.

According to the invention, the mobile table is thus attached to the locking bracket, e.g. for the lock. Advantageously, no legs are then required, since the table is fixed to the longitudinal

edge, which is adjacent to the fastening element, rests securely on the upper edge of the trunk opening and is held in place by the fastening element. Additional table legs can also be arranged foldably on the table top. The table can also be attached to the vehicle with several fastening elements. The arrangement of the fastening elements can be made as required, e.g. on the side edges of the table top.

The shape of the fastening element depends on the design of the locking bracket and therefore on the type of vehicle. Basically, the fastening element should be designed as a tab that is angled vertically and has a U-shape at its free end to hook into the locking bracket. To hook the table, it is placed at an angle and the U-shaped end of the tab is hooked into the locking bracket. The table is then brought into the horizontal position so that it rests firmly on the lower edge of the trunk opening.

The fastening element should be detachably connected to the table top so that the mobile table can be adapted to different vehicle types by simply changing the appropriate fastening elements.

A snap fastener must be provided which is attached to the fastening element and the table top.

Figures 1 and 2 show a mobile table 1 for clamping to motor vehicles as a top view and in cross-section, which essentially consists of a table top 2 and a fastening element 3 that is screwed to the table top 2 in the middle of the table 1 next to the long edge 4 of the table top 2. The fastening element 3 is bent into a U-shape at its free end 5 and, as sketched in Figure 3, is hooked into a locking bracket 6, which is provided on the upper edge of a trunk opening 7 as a counter element for a trunk lock.

The fastening element 3 can be screwed firmly to the table top 2. However, a snap fastener can also be provided for fastening.

It is also conceivable that a profile strip is provided on the underside of the table top 2, into which the tab-

shaped fastening element 3 is inserted. To lock the fastening element 3, a spring element can be provided in the profile strip, which engages in a corresponding recess in the fastening element when the fastening element 3 is in an end position. In this embodiment, the fastening element 3 can be pulled out with a certain force and replaced with other fastening elements 3 that are adapted to the various vehicles.

When adapting the fastening elements 3 to the various vehicles, it is important to ensure that the distance between the longitudinal edge 4 of the table top 2 and the angle of the fastening element 3 is large enough that the longitudinal edge 4 of the table top 2 rests securely on the lower edge of the trunk opening 7. The force is then essentially transferred to the trunk opening 7.

Preferably, the table top 2 is formed as a plastic component so that it is very light and can be easily stored and handled.

An additional adjustable universal bracket that does not interact with the vehicle lock can also be used as the locking bracket 6. The locking bracket 6 can be adjustable in height, as shown in Figures 3 and 4. For example, notches 9 can be provided in an adjusting bracket of the locking bracket 6, which interact with a locking mechanism 10, e.g. with a wing nut 12, which can be screwed onto a mounting plate 11. The mounting plate can in turn be screwed onto the vehicle at a suitable point using a mounting screw 13.

Figures 5 and 6 show a multi-part mobile table 1, in which the table top 2 consists of two parts 2a, 2b. The two parts 2a, 2b are connected to each other with a hinge 14, which extends over an edge 15a, 15b of the parts 2a, 2b. In order for the two parts 2a, 2b to be

In order to be able to pivot against each other, at least one edge 15b is rounded. The parts 2a, 2b are shaped at their common edge 15a, 15b so that they overlap. For this purpose, the hinge 14 on one of the parts 2a, 2b of the edge 15a is arranged offset inwards on the underside of the part 2a, so that the edge 15 of the part 2a protrudes like a nose over the other part 2b. A locking mechanism can be provided on the hinge 14 in order to prevent the table 1 from folding in undesirably. The table 1 can also rest on its long edge as sketched, with the fastening element 3 on a part 2a being arranged slightly offset from the hinge 14.

Mobile table ( 1 ) for clamping to motor vehicles with a table top ( 2 ) and at least one fastening element ( 3 ), characterized in that the at least one fastening element ( 3 ) is designed to hook into a locking bracket ( 6 ). 2. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking bracket ( 6 ) cooperates with a vehicle lock. 3. Mobile table ( 1 ) for hooking into the locking bracket ( 6 ) on a trunk opening ( 7 ) according to claim 2, characterized in that the fastening element ( 3 ) is attached to the table top ( 2 ) such that the longitudinal edge ( 4 ) of the table top ( 2 ) adjacent to the fastening element ( 3 ) rests on the lower edge ( 8 ) of the trunk opening ( 7 ). 4. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening element ( 3 ) is a vertically angled tab which is bent into a U-shape at its free end ( 5 ) for hooking into the locking bracket ( 6 ). 5. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening element ( 3 ) is detachably connected to the table top ( 2 ). 6. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to claim 5, characterized by a snap closure for fastening the fastening element ( 3 ) to the table top ( 2 ). 7. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to claim 5, characterized by a profile strip on the table top ( 2 ) for inserting the fastening element ( 3 ). 8. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to claim 7, characterized by a spring element in the profile strip and a recess on the fastening element ( 3 ) for the securing engagement of the spring element. 9. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking bracket ( 9 ) is height-adjustable. 10. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening element is adjustable in height and/or length. 11. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one table leg is arranged foldably on the table top ( 2 ). 12. Mobile table ( 1 ) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the table top ( 2 ) is made up of several parts, the several parts of the table top ( 2 ) being connected to one another in a foldable manner by hinges.
