The invention relates to grills for cooking and grilling meat and sausage products with a grill grate that allows the fat escaping from the grilled food to drain away.

Grills of the usual design, which are used for grilling meat and sausages, have a horizontal grill grate, where the fat that comes out of the food being grilled collects on the grill grate bars and drips directly into the embers or another heat medium. For this purpose, it has already been proposed in DE 3919818 A1 to use a swivel slat grill. This has the disadvantage that the fat has to run from slat to slat and if it is heated up too much, fat can burn on the slat.

Another disadvantage is that this grill is very difficult to manufacture industrially and is therefore expensive.

Cleaning also proves to be problematic, as burnt-on grease is difficult and laborious to remove from the slat surface.

Furthermore, the actual experience of grilling over open embers is lost.

The invention aims to ensure that during the grilling process

The advantages are:

- Health-conscious grilling on open embers.

- Indoor or balcony grilling is possible as there is hardly any smoke nuisance.

Claims (12)

1. Grill, comprising a grill body ( 1 ) for holding the fuel and a grill grate ( 3 ) which serves as a support for the grilled food, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) and grill grate ( 3 ) are designed and arranged relative to one another in such a way that the fat dripping from the grilled food in the direction of gravity does not get into the fuel. 2. Grill according to claim 1, characterized in that the grill grate ( 3 ) has grill grate bars ( 4 ) which run parallel to one another and form a support plane for the food to be grilled and which enclose an angle α with the direction of gravity, where 0° < α < 90°. 3. Grill according to claim 2, characterized in that drip edges are provided at the ends of the grill bars ( 4 ) and a fat collecting tray ( 2 ) is provided below the drip edges in the direction of gravity. 4. Grill according to claim 3, characterized in that the fat collecting tray ( 2 ) is suspended in the grill body ( 1 ) and can be detached from it without the aid of tools. 5. Grill according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) is provided with feet and the grill grate ( 3 ) is rigidly connected to the grill body ( 1 ), the angle α having a value in the range of 70° < α < 90°. 6. Grill according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) is provided with feet and the grill grate ( 3 ) is connected to the grill body ( 1 ) via a joint, by means of which the angle α can be adjusted to a value in the range of 70° < α < 90°. 7. Grill according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) and the grill grate ( 3 ) are arranged together on a base ( 6 ) and are fastened thereto in such a way that the grill grate ( 3 ) is inclined by the angle α. 8. Grill according to claim 7, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) and the grill grate ( 3 ) are connected to the base ( 6 ) via a joint, by means of which the change of the angle α within the range 70° < α < 90° is possible. 9. Grill according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) is designed as a trough with a semicircular cross-section and the grill grate ( 3 ) is placed on the end sections of the semicircle. 10. Grill according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the grill grate ( 3 ) is provided with retaining brackets ( 5 ) which are positioned in such a way that an undesirable slipping of the grilled food in the direction of gravity is prevented by the retaining brackets ( 5 ). 11. Grill according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the grill body ( 1 ) is equipped with a grate ( 7 ) which has a support plane for the fuel aligned parallel to the grate bars ( 4 ). 12. Grill according to claim 11, characterized in that a collecting plate for the fuel is provided on the ember grate ( 7 ) and is positioned so that undesirable slipping of the fuel in the direction of gravity is prevented.
