Mp.-Nr. 98/576 PAT 3-Sf/BeMp. No. 98/576 PAT 3-Sf/Be
The invention relates to a lighting device of an electrical installation device in domestic installation technology.
Lighting devices are used in electrical or electronic installation devices in domestic installation technology, for example for orientation, control or design purposes. For electrical installation devices, glow or incandescent lamps are used, usually with a series resistor. Since the service life of these lighting devices is limited, they are designed as plug-in or screw-in, i.e. replaceable lamps or as replaceable lighting inserts with a base.
Such interchangeable lighting devices are shown, for example, in the 1997 picture price list of Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH, Lüdenscheid, publication BJE 0001-0-0321 on page 21. In addition to lighting devices with glow or incandescent lamps, an LED lighting insert is also listed there, although the latter can only be used in buttons that belong to electronic systems. The LED lighting insert is controlled by an electronic control unit with a direct voltage in the range of 8 to 15 volts.
Ein Nachteil der in elektrischen Installationsgeräten eingesetzten Glimm- oder Glühlampen besteht darin, daß sie - insbesondere wegen ihrer austauschbaren Ausführung - eine aufwendige konstruktive Gestaltung der InstallationsgeräteA disadvantage of the glow or incandescent lamps used in electrical installation devices is that they require a complex structural design of the installation devices, particularly because of their replaceable design.

Another disadvantage is the relatively short lifespan of the lighting equipment, which makes it necessary to procure and replace spare parts, which is a hassle and cost.
The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a lighting device for electrical installation devices which can be expected to have a longer service life than neon or incandescent lamps.
This object is achieved by a lighting device with the features specified in claim 1 or claim 2. A lighting device is then proposed which contains a first light-emitting diode LED and a second LED or other semiconductor diode connected in anti-parallel thereto. According to claim 1, a resistor is connected in series. In the embodiment according to claim 2, the LED anti-parallel circuit is connected in parallel to a resistor which is part of a voltage divider circuit. In both embodiments, a permanent installation in an installation device is provided.
Advantageous embodiments are specified in further claims and also result from the further description of the invention with reference to the drawing figures.
LED2 anliegt.Fig. 1 shows the circuit arrangement of a lighting device which can be connected directly to an alternating mains voltage of e.g. 230V, 50Hz using its connections L, N. The circuit arrangement has a resistor R which is connected as a series resistor in front of an anti-parallel connection of two light-emitting diodes LED1, LED2. The resistor R is dimensioned depending on the intended connection voltage, i.e. the mains voltage and the intended operating current of the LEDs. The anti-parallel connection of two LEDs solves the problem that arises when operating on an alternating voltage because the blocking capacity of LEDs in the reverse direction is low. By connecting a second LED or another semiconductor diode in anti-parallel, no special reverse blocking capacity is required, since only the forward voltage of the conductive LED, e.g. LED2, is present at the LED blocking in the respective half-wave of the alternating voltage, e.g. LED1.

This protective function can also be achieved with a non-luminous diode connected in parallel in reverse direction instead of a second LED. However, two LEDs or a corresponding integrated component with anti-parallel LEDs are preferred, as this achieves higher brightness. A desired color can also be set by combining LEDs of different colors. For example, a red LED can be combined with a yellow LED to simulate the orange color of the light from a neon lamp.
The lighting device according to the invention can be designed in all designs that are usual for lighting applications. Due to its long service life, it does not need to be interchangeable, i.e. it can be installed stationary in an installation device G in a space-saving and cost-effective manner.
Fig. 2 zeigt eine andere Schaltungsanordnung. Fig. 2 shows a different circuit arrangement. The installation device G contains a voltage divider circuit with first and second resistors R1 and R2. Additional resistors can also be connected in series. In any case, the resistance values are selected so that when a mains voltage, e.g. 230V, 50Hz, is applied to the first resistor R1, the operating voltage for the LEDs drops. The anti-parallel connected LEDs are connected in parallel to the first resistor R1.
