Description

SandwichplatteSandwich panel

The invention relates to a sandwich panel consisting of several interconnected layers.

However, for simple applications, the requirements for the properties of the sandwich panel are lower, so that such sandwich panels are in principle too complex for these applications. As the structure is too complex in relation to the requirements, the costs are also increased.

The object of the present invention is to create a sandwich panel which has sufficient stability for simpler applications and can be produced cost-effectively.

5 To achieve this object, it is proposed that the sandwich panel has a thermoplastic support core and, on at least one side of this support core, a fibre-reinforced cover layer connected to it by an adhesive layer.
This creates a lightweight, rigid sandwich composite part that has sufficient properties for many applications, for example for use as a partition wall.

5The fiber-reinforced top layer protects the materials underneath from external environmental influences, such as UV radiation, moisture, chemicals and the like, so that use is also possible under corresponding environmental conditions. 5

For minimum requirements, a cover layer glued to one side of the support core is sufficient, while for slightly higher strength requirements or when the sandwich panel is exposed to external influences on both sides, a fiber-reinforced cover layer is provided on both sides of the support core, each connected to it by means of an adhesive layer.

To further increase the rigidity of the sandwich panel, at least one fiber-reinforced cover layer can be indirectly connected to the support core via an intermediate layer, with this cover layer being connected to the intermediate layer by an adhesive layer. It is also possible to provide the intermediate layer with fiber reinforcement to increase strength.
The intermediate layer can also consist of a thermally compressed fleece layer made of thermoplastic material. By using an intermediate layer that is initially present as a fleece layer, any internal stresses emanating from the intermediate layer and thus undesirable deformations of the sandwich panel are avoided. When the fleece layer is connected to the support core, the fleece layer is almost completely melted and compressed into a homogeneous layer. The connection to the support core is preferably made using a material melt connection.

To keep the weight of the sandwich panel low, it is advantageous if the supporting core is formed by a honeycomb layer.

Additional embodiments of the invention are set out in the further subclaims.

The invention and its essential details are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.

Es zeigt etwas schematisiert:It shows something schematic:

Fig. 1 eine dreischichtige Sandwichplatte und eine
Fig. 2 fünfschichtige Sandwichplatte.
Fig. 1 a three-layer sandwich panel and a
Fig. 2 five-layer sandwich panel.

Fig. 1 shows a three-layer sandwich panel 1, which has a support core 2 and fiber-reinforced cover layers 4 and 5 connected to it on both sides by an adhesive layer 3. This sandwich panel 1 has sufficient strength despite its low weight, so that it can be used for applications with not too high strength requirements. Such a sandwich panel can also be produced in a simple manner by bringing the support core 2, the adhesive layers 3 and the cover layers 4 and 5 together in a web-like manner and bonding them together under the influence of heat. This makes it possible to produce practically "endless" sandwich panels 1.

For the fiber-reinforced cover layers 4 and 5, it is also possible to use those in which the fiber reinforcement is completely embedded in the cover layer. Such cover layers can be formed by a fabric reinforcement layer in the middle and thermoplastic layers connected to it on both sides. This also creates a smooth outer side that can be painted if necessary.

On the other hand, it is also possible to use a structured cover layer 4 and/or 5, whereby the structure can be caused by the fiber reinforcement and whereby the appearance of the surface can be designed accordingly via the texture. It is also possible to use colored films as a cover layer.

Im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel sind die Zwischenschichten 6 durch eine stoffliche Schmelz-Figure 2 shows a sandwich panel 1a in which the outer cover layers 4 and 5 are each indirectly connected to the support core 2 via an intermediate layer 6. In the present embodiment, the intermediate layers 6 are connected by a material melt

Connection with the support core 2 designed as a honeycomb layer 7. The intermediate layers 6 and the support core 2 consist of thermoplastic material. On the outside of the intermediate layers 6 there are adhesive layers 3 for connecting to the outer cover layers 4 and 5. The intermediate layers 6 result in a higher overall rigidity of the sandwich panel. If necessary, the intermediate layers can be fiber-reinforced.

15
This sandwich panel 1a can also be produced in a virtually endless manner from several films fed in web form. The cover layers 4 and 5 can be made from a thermoplastic film with a thickness of about 0.5 to about 0.7 mm, while the intermediate layers have a thickness of at least 0.5 mm and can also be made significantly thicker depending on the strength requirements.
