Bait basket for bottom fishing

The innovation concerns a lure basket for bottom fishing, which is used in fishing, especially sport fishing.

To increase the catch rate when bottom fishing, various aids are suggested.

It is well known to use feeding baskets into which bait dough is kneaded. The rain of food trickling along the leader is supposed to attract the fish to the actual fishing bait. Such feeding baskets often cannot be used without becoming tangled. The dough has to be replaced relatively often because it is washed out of the basket depending on the consistency and current. The dough also cannot attract predatory fish, so its use is limited.

It is also known to perfume the bait itself with attractant scents. In DE-OS 44 28 763 Al a bait is proposed that consists of water-swellable material with additives of odors or attractants. For fishing success, however, it is advantageous to offer the bait itself in a largely natural manner. The proposed bait must also be replaced at short intervals.

In the German utility model G 94 OO 774.8 it is proposed to incorporate a flavoring agent into the plastic bait during the production of the bait. However, the production of such a bait is complex, as the flavoring agents must be introduced via a carrier granulate. The elastomer is mixed with the carrier granulate in granulate form. The temperatures usually used in the injection molding process also require the use of a stabilizer to prevent the flavoring agent from decomposing. As fish prefer different flavoring agents, usually those of their own species, a separate type of bait must be produced for each species of fish.

Another disadvantage of the bait is that the aroma particles on the surface are washed out and the concentration of aroma in the area of the bait near the surface decreases so much that it no longer emits a scent trail, since the shape of the bait creates such an intimate connection between the granules that the diffusion of the aroma particles from the inside of the bait to the surface is severely restricted.

The aim of the innovation is to develop a simple tool for bottom fishing that increases the catch rate through a sufficiently long luring effect, that is reusable, that allows a scent preparation that can be tailored to the type of fish to be caught, and that leaves the bait itself natural

According to the innovation, the task is solved by the fact that the proposed lure basket consists of a multi-part outer body, which in the middle part contains at least one opening for the exit of the scent trail, that it has a weight in the lower part, a carrier material with liquid attractant in the middle part and a buoyancy body in the upper part, and that an anti-tangle device with a shorter entrance part is firmly fixed in the upper part of the lure basket

The lure basket is advantageously made of an elastic plastic. Another design provides for the middle part to be cylindrical and the lower part to accommodate the weight to be convex. A textile carrier is preferably used to hold the attractant. The aroma of the liquid attractant can be adapted to the type of fish to be caught.

The innovation is explained below using an example drawing.

Figure 1 shows a decoy basket in a partially sectioned view.

made of lead and convexly rounded. Head section 1 and main body 2 are detachably connected by clamps.

In the main body 2, above the weight 4, there is the textile carrier material 5 for absorbing the aroma substance. Openings 6 in the outer body ensure that the aroma particles escape from the lure basket. In the head section 1 there is a buoyancy body 7 made of cork or polystyrene and the anti-tangle device for easy deployment of the lure basket. In the example, it consists of a curved tube. The main line enters the shorter leg 8, which serves as the entry part, and exits the longer leg 9. This exit side leads to the actual bait via a pearl and a buoyancy body. The angle of the tube and the correct ratio of the leg lengths are prerequisites for problem-free casting.
The anti-tangle device is easily fixed to the head part 1 with rubber lenses 10.

The new decoy basket is quick and easy to prepare and still has a sufficiently strong decoy effect even after a few days.

Bait basket for bottom fishing, consisting of a multi-part outer body which contains at least one opening in the middle part, characterized in that the lure basket has a weight (4) in the lower part (3), a carrier material (5) with liquid attractant introduced in the middle part (2) and a buoyancy body (7) in the upper part (1) and that an anti-tangle device with a shorter entrance part (8) is firmly fixed in the upper part (1). 2.
