Behandlungsstand für HuftiereTreatment stand for hoofed animals
The invention relates to a treatment stand for hoofed animals, in particular for dairy cows, for the care of their hooves. Treatment stands for hoofed animals are known in various designs, for example from DE-G 92 16 027.1 a portable cutting stand for hoofed animals. DE-OS 31 05 368 describes a forced stand for cutting the hooves, in which a leg is pulled and held against an angle iron at working height with a winch and must be trimmed while hanging. The procedure is described as simple, time-saving and safe, although the harmlessness is debatable, because the unnatural forced position of the foot frightens the animal to a great extent and causes it to become restless. In DD-AP 219 096, a treatment stand with a pivoting and lockable entrance and exit door, with pivoting supports for the front legs and supports for the hind legs, which are arranged on the exit door, is described and claimed. The supports for the hind feet can be adjusted to different heights using a cleat lock. The animal is secured to the frame of the treatment stand using a chest strap and locking chains in the rear area and the stand is lowered. The animal then hangs freely, is largely unable to move, and the legs can be placed on the supports for treatment. After treatment has been completed, the stand is raised again, the animal stands firmly on the ground again, is released and driven out of the treatment stand through the exit door. Another disadvantage of this stand is the forced position of the animal, which causes fear and unpredictable movements of the animal. The forced position is due to the frame dimensions, i.e. the frame of the treatment stand must correspond to the animal's dimensions and be narrow in order to effectively prevent the urge to move, but thereby increases or causes a new urge to move because movement in the narrow space causes pain.
Vor diesem technischen Hintergrund stellt sich die Erfindung die Aufgabe, den Behandlungsstand so zu verändern, daß die zwangsweise Ruhigstellung des Huftieres weitestgehend schmerzarmAgainst this technical background, the invention sets itself the task of changing the treatment status so that the forced immobilization of the hoofed animal is as painless as possible

für das Huftier ist, daß der Behandlungsstand einfach im Aufbau und wartungsarm ist.for the ungulate is that the treatment stand is simple to set up and low-maintenance.
AusführungsbeispielThe object of the invention is achieved in that in a frame construction with two side struts a lower side strut extends outwards and upwards and is arranged in height so that the shoulder of the hoofed animal is accommodated. The exit door consists of two wings, with the upper beam of each wing projecting and thus a gap remains between the wings when closed that corresponds to the width of the neck of the hoofed animal. The wings of the exit door are closed with the physical strength of the hoofed animal when it runs into the treatment stand via a locking mechanism and allow the hoofed animal so much freedom and comfortable standing that unpredictable movements are significantly reduced. Specially designed swivel and height-adjustable front foot rests are arranged on the front support struts of the frame. In the treatment stand the hoofed animal is lifted with a belly belt and motor support so far that the front feet can be comfortably placed on the front foot rest and secured for treatment. The hind feet are also raised and held by a second belt and with motor support, so they can be cared for or treated safely for the hoof trimmer.

The upper cross brace 2.1 serves to stabilize the treatment stand during treatment. The urge to move of hoofed animals, especially dairy cows, has increased significantly in recent years due to the increasingly nutritious feed. The exit door is arranged on the front support braces 16 and consists of two movable wings 20 that form an open frame. The upper beam of the wing 20 is arranged in a protruding manner, as shown in Fig. 1, and when the wings 20 are closed, it ensures a gap that corresponds to the width of the neck of the hoofed animal, as can be seen in Fig. 2. In the starting position, when the ungulate enters the treatment stand, the wings 20 are angled slightly inwards, so that the ungulate pushes the wings 20 outwards with its shoulders and at the same time triggers the locking mechanism, which is attached to the frame construction, via a gear chain 15. Both wings 20 are closed and the ungulate is forced to stand still. The head of the ungulate is located between the inner side bars of the wings 20, while ensuring reasonable mobility, and the shoulders of the ungulate rest in the side recesses of the lower cross braces 2. The combination of the free head and the shoulder resting on the cross brace takes away the ungulate's fear and ensures that the ungulate stands calmly in the treatment stand. When the ungulate is resting in the front part of the treatment stand, a frame 10 with a splash guard 6 is lowered with the help of motor 13.2, which is operated manually and is arranged on a second cross member 26.1, as can be seen in Fig.2, thus closing the treatment stand. The hoof trimmer can then place the belly belt 9 around the ungulate without risk of injury to the hoof trimmer and, with the help of motor 13.1, lift the ungulate by the belly belt 9 until the front feet are relieved. Motor 13.1, which is arranged on a first cross member 26, is also operated manually. Fig.2 shows the arrangement of the treatment stand during care or treatment. The height to which the ungulate is to be lifted is set by hooking the belly belt 9 into one of the hooks 9.1, which is an additional element on the first cross member 26.

Spritzschutz 6 istarranged three times and evenly distributed across the width. This arrangement is shown in Fig.3. The first cross member 26 and the second cross member 26.1 are arranged parallel to one another between the cross struts that limit the frame construction at the top, as can also be seen in Fig.3. The hoofed animal can optionally remain in the raised state until the end of the treatment or, more usually, can be placed back on its three legs. The hoof trimmer can safely raise a front foot to the working height and place it on the pivoting front foot support 3 and secure it with a strap 3.1. Two tubular sleeves as components of the hinge 24 are attached to each front support strut 16 below the lower cross strut 2. The tubular sleeves are chosen to be long enough that the hinge 24 allows two working heights and thus compensates for breed-related differences in the length of the front feet of the cattle. A piece of pipe is attached at right angles to the hinge 24, which supports the curved front foot support 3 and, at a certain distance from it, a second, rear support 4, which is adjustable in length. A curved and movable tab 3.1 is arranged on the front foot support 3. A semicircular perforated band 25 is arranged under the front foot support 3, into which a bolt 5 engages in order to secure the claw for treatment. The rear support 4 serves to immobilize and support the claw. Depending on whether the claw needs to be cared for or treated, the front foot support 3 is turned outwards and the degree of extension is set using chain 21 in hook 18. Hook 18 is attached to the front support strut 16. To restrict the freedom of movement of the hind feet of the hoofed animal, frame 10 is arranged in a height-adjustable manner in the rear frame part of the treatment stand. On the frame 10, a splash guard 6 and an eyelet for guiding a second strap 14 are attached to its upper crossbar 11. On the lower crossbar 12 of frame 10, a rear foot support 7 is arranged in the middle with a lug lock 23, with which the desired position for the rear foot support is determined. The rear foot support 7 has several holes for receiving the support bar 8, with which breed-related differences in the length of the rear foot can be compensated. The splash guard 6 is

The second belt 14 is placed as a loop around the ankle of the hind foot, the hind foot is placed on the support bar 8 and held in place with belt 14. With the inventive arrangement of the hind foot support 7 and with the motor support, the hind foot is raised to working height, frame 10 is brought to the same height and locked with bolts 19. With the belly belt 9 attached, a front and hind foot can be treated or cared for at the same time in the inventive treatment stand. The physical strain on the hoof trimmer is significantly reduced. Another advantage of the invention is the elimination of the risk of the hoofed animal escaping during hoof treatment and the reduction of the required specialist staff to basically just one person, because hoof care and hoof treatment can be carried out safely one after the other. When the hoof care or hoof treatment is finished, the front and/or rear foot is untied and lifted off the front foot support 3 or the support bar 8 and placed on the ground, the belly belt 9 is loosened and the ungulate is placed back on its four legs. The locking mechanism for the wings 20 is manually released via the gear chain 15 and both wings 20 are opened, as shown in Fig.3. The hoofed ungulate leaves the treatment stand. Frame 10 is lifted back into the starting position via motor 13.2 and the two wings 20 are also brought into their starting position. Fig.1 shows the starting state. The locking mechanism for the two wings 20 described in the example can also be triggered using a V-belt instead of the gear chain 15.
