Description Underfloor swivel lift ( UBS-Lift )

Disabled lifts of the usual design are usually used in the trunk of a vehicle or on the side near the sliding doors.

This usually reduces the space available in the vehicle by up to 50%.

The invention set out in claim 1 is based on the problem of enabling a person with walking difficulties to get in and out without outside help.

The disabled lift is to be secured under the vehicle in a space-saving manner and with the greatest possible ground clearance.

The existing swivel and lifting functions are only possible via “pivot points” Fig. 1 (1/2/3).

The lifting height of the lift can be mechanically adjusted to different vehicle types without great effort Fig. 3(1)

To enable the operator to remain within the lift’s swivel range without risk of injury using the safety edges Fig. 3(2).

To enable access to the platform Fig. 1(4) even when the platform is uneven.

These problems are solved with the features listed in claim 1.

The invention enables a disabled person to get in and out of a vehicle without assistance using the remote control of the lift.

The underbody swivel lift can be securely and space-savingly secured under the vehicle. This means that no changes need to be made to the vehicle's bodywork, as is the case with various other lift manufacturers.

The disabled person has the opportunity to sell his vehicle at any time without having to accept financial losses due to the modifications to the vehicle.

The pivot points prevent the swivel and lifting functions from becoming dirty, which is unavoidable with normal disabled lifts that only have linear drives.

Using the adjuster Fig. 3(1), the lifting height can be mechanically adjusted to suit almost any vehicle type.
Custom-made items are no longer available.

With normal lifts for disabled people there is a risk that injuries can be caused by the swiveling of the lift components. The electrical control strips eliminate this risk.

The design of the roll-off protection Fig. 1(5) allows the disabled person to use the lift without problems even on uneven surfaces.

An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to Figures 1, 2 and 3. They show :

The underbody swivel lift is now stowed under the vehicle to save space and is almost invisible.

The platform is lowered to the rest position.

If the disabled person wants to get into the vehicle, he can control all swivel and lifting functions using the remote control.

- The disabled person uses the remote control to swing the lift out 90° and then lower the platform.

- The wheelchair user can now drive onto the lift platform.

- Using the remote control, it can be raised to the entry height of the vehicle.

- The wheelchair user can now get into the vehicle.

- After boarding, the lift is lowered again using the remote control.

- The lift swings 90° under the vehicle and is securely anchored to the frame.

Claims (1)

1. Pivoting disabled lift that enables people with walking disabilities to get in and out of motor vehicles without outside help. Characterized, - that the binder lift is controlled via a cable or infrared remote control, and carries out all lifting and swiveling functions automatically. - that the disabled lift is securely and space-savingly secured under the vehicle. - to enable existing swivel and lifting functions only via pivot points. - that the lifting height of the platform can be adjusted to almost any vehicle type mechanically and without much time expenditure. - that the safety edges eliminate the risk of injury in the swivel area of the lift. - the roll-off protection means that the platform can be driven on even on uneven road surfaces.
