State of the art

The invention is based on a handle element on handling sections according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a handle element for handling a plug connection is known from DE 41 12 930 C2. The plug connection consists of a plug and a mating plug, which can be reversibly coupled to one another. Elastic members in the form of locking levers are provided on the side of the plug, which protrude from a housing of the plug at the end and protrude backwards from the housing to their free end. The locking levers have external locking means near their housing-side ends, which secure the plug in its position relative to the mating plug after it has been inserted into the receiving opening of the mating plug.

To release the plug from the mating plug, the locking means must be unlocked. This is done by pushing the free ends of the locking levers, which are spaced apart from the plug housing, towards the housing against the restoring force of the locking levers in a first movement and then, in a second movement perpendicular to this, pulling the plug off the mating plug.

The locking levers are normally operated in the manner described above using two fingers of one hand, with the fingertips resting in the area of the free ends of the locking levers.

As detailed in DE 41 12 03 0 C2, Figure 14, the free ends as handling sections, which are aligned parallel to the central axis of the plug in accordance with the direction in which the plug is pulled off the mating plug, each have two semicircular, rounded, external strips protruding from the base area of the handling sections.

The disadvantage is that the strips press deeply into the fingertips during the first movement due to the restoring forces of the locking levers, without providing sufficient security against the fingertips slipping over the rounded surfaces during the second movement. This means that it is not possible to safely detach the plug from the mating plug and it is difficult to do so despite the strain on the fingertips.

Advantages of the invention

The grip element according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the previously mentioned shortcomings are avoided. For this purpose, the grip element is designed as a recess in an outer surface of the handling section, so that when gripping the object, the user's fingertip assigned to the handling section partially dips into the recess as part of the form fit and a hold is achieved. Description of the embodiment

The embodiment relates to a handle element in a plug connection, as already shown in the introduction to the description. Alternatively, the handle element 11 could also be used for other objects whose position is subject to changes.

In Figure 1, only a plug 12 and a mating plug 13 can be seen from the plug connection, which can be coupled together and separated in the direction of an arrow 14, corresponding to a direction of change in position 14 of the object, with the mating plug 13 being mounted in a fixed position, for example on a unit of an internal combustion engine. Plug 11 and mating plug 12 are, however, in principle mutually interchangeable plug connectors of the plug connection.

The actuating lever 19 has in its one end region, adjacent to a bend 20 at the transition to the bearing leg 18, on an outer surface 21 a handling section 22 and in its other end region a locking means 23 in the form of a recess into which, when the plug 12 is coupled to the mating plug 13, a counter-locking means 24 of the mating plug in the form of a projection is inserted.

As shown in Figure 2, the handling section 22 has, starting from the outer surface 21, as a handle element 11, two parallel recesses 28 spaced apart by a web 27, which, each designed as a longitudinal groove, run perpendicular to the separation direction of the plug connection or to the direction of the arrow 14.

The depressions 28 have a uniform, approximately rectangular cross-sectional area along their length. Edges 29 are formed at the transition from the depression 28 to the outer surface 21.

The outer surface 21 of the handling section 22 is inclined to the direction of the arrow 14 by an angle 31 of approximately 30°, so that the end of the handling section 22 adjacent to the arch 20 projects outwards in a wedge shape relative to the other end.

As not shown in detail in the drawing, the locking levers 17 are arranged in pairs and symmetrically on both sides of the plug 12. This allows the user to easily place an actuating element 32, preferably two fingertips, in a pliers-like manner on the handling sections 22 and to reversibly

bend back until the locking means 23 is unlocked from the counter-locking means 24. By means of an additional pulling movement in the direction of the part 14, the plug 12 can now be safely pulled off the counter-plug 13 with only a slight load on the fingertips as the actuating element 32, since the fingertips partially fit into the recesses 28.

This results in a large-area, positive connection of the actuating element 32 with the handle element 11, so that the subsequent pulling movement in the direction of the arrow 14 is not only transmitted via a frictional adhesion that is then increasingly required.

The support on the edges 29 also supports the firm hold of the fingertips as an actuating element 32 on the handle element 11. This is also achieved if only one transition to the outer surface per recess is designed as an edge on which the tensile force acts.

The secure hold of the actuating element 32 on the handle element 11 when separating the plug connection is also achieved by the angle 31 at which the handling section 22 is extended outwards, so that the actuating element 32 is prevented from slipping off the handle element 11.

With the features described above, the handle element 11 is designed to be user-friendly and safe to handle. 30

Gripping element on handling sections which are subjected to compressive and/or tensile forces in order to activate a locking mechanism and/or to change the position of an object, in particular a plug in a plug connection (11) from a locking mechanism (23, 24) with a mating connector (13) and to remove it, characterized in that the gripping element (11) is designed as at least one recess (28) running transversely to a position change direction (14) of the object on an outer surface (21) of a handling section (22) and the outer surface (21) is inclined to the direction of change (14). 2. Handle element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that two handling sections (22) are attached to the object opposite one another.
