Paving stone system and paving stone

The innovation relates to a paving stone system for producing a composite paving stone according to the generic term of claim 1 and to paving stones for use in this system according to the generic term of claim 9 or 13.

Paving stone systems or sets that contain at least two paving stones of different designs and enable the production of a composite paving stone are known in a wide variety of designs.

The aim of the innovation is to demonstrate a paving stone system that enables the production of a composite paving stone with an attractive external appearance.

To solve this problem, a system is designed in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 1. Paving stones suitable for this system are designed in accordance with claims 9 or 13.

The new system allows the production of a composite paving in which the first paving stones form a star-shaped pattern. The gaps remaining between the first paving stones can be filled with the second paving stones, provided that these gaps are not to be used for other purposes, for example for grass growth.

The laid paving stones form an effective bond that prevents these stones from moving apart. Further developments of the innovation are the subject of the subclaims. The innovation is explained in more detail below using the figures and an example. They show:

Fig. 1 shows a simplified representation and a plan view of a paving stone according to the invention; Fig. 2 shows a plan view of a second paving stone to be used together with the paving stone of Fig. 1;

Fig. 3 shows a simplified representation and a top view of a composite paving made using the paving stones of Fig. 1 and 2.

The paving stone 1 shown in Fig. 1 is designed as a double star stone, i.e. it has a shape in plan view that is composed of two star-shaped elements 2 that are connected to one another in one piece, namely in the area of a visible or dummy joint 3 formed on the top of the paving stone 1, which completes the star-shaped circumferential line of each element 2 in the area of the connection of these two elements.

The circumference of each element 2 forms a star in a top view of the paving stone 1 with four uniformly formed star points, each offset by 90° around a center, each ending in a point or corner 4. Starting from the corner 4, two straight sections 5 or one such section and the dummy joint 3 extend, whereby the sections 5 or, in the area of the dummy joint 3, the section 5 and this dummy joint 3 each enclose an angle α. All angles α are equal.

A total of seven sections 5 and the dummy joint 3 form the star-shaped perimeter line of the respective element 2 as a polygon. At the same time, all sections 5 form the perimeter line of the paving stone 1.

For each element 2, the sections 5 arranged between two consecutive tips 4 in an assumed circumferential direction, or the dummy joint 3 and the adjoining section 5, intersect at an intersection point 6 in the middle between two consecutive tips 4 and enclose an angle β there, which opens towards the outside of the respective element 2 or the paving stone 1. In the embodiment shown, the angle β is three times as large as the angle α, i.e. β = 3 × α. To produce the composite paving 7 shown in Fig. 3, in which two adjacent paving stones 1 are shown with different hatching for clarity, another paving stone 8 is required as a supplementary stone. In plan view, this has a parallelogram or diamond-like formation with four peripheral sides or sections 9 forming the circumference, each of which has the same or approximately the same length as the sections 5 and the dummy joint 3

On two opposite sides, the two straight sections 9, which intersect at a more acute corner 10 there, form an angle γ and on the other two corner areas 11 they form the angle ß, which opens towards the middle of the paving stone 8. The angles α, β and γ are furthermore coordinated with one another in such a way that the sum of the double angle α and the angle γ is equal to the angle β, ie β = 2 μ α + γ. In principle, it is possible to choose the angles α and γ to be the same size. In this case, the following applies:
α =γ and
β = 3 χα.

In order to achieve a distinct and clearly visible star shape for the elements 2 of the paving stone 1 even when laid, the angle β is greater than 90° but less than 180° and is, for example, 120° in the embodiment shown. If the angles α and γ are the same size, these angles are then each 40°.

As shown in Fig. 3, the paving stones 1 are laid in such a way that each paving stone 1 with its corners 4 is located directly adjacent to the intersection areas 6 of neighboring paving stones 1. The diamond-shaped openings that result between neighboring paving stones 1 are each filled by a paving stone 8.

It is understood that numerous changes and modifications are possible without thereby departing from the inventive concept underlying the innovation.

Claims (15)

Protection claims 1. Paving stone system for producing a paved surface or a composite (7), with at least a first paving stone (1) and a second paving stone (8), each of different shapes, characterized in that the first paving stone (1) is composed in its shape of two elements (2), each forming a four-pointed star, which merge into one another on one side of a star point. 2. System according to claim 1, characterized in that the first paving stone (1) has at least on the upper side at the transition of the two elements (2) a dummy joint (3) which supplements the circumferential line of each element (2) to form a closed star-shaped line or a closed star-shaped polygon. 3. System according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the peripheral surface or peripheral line of the first paving stone (1) is formed by a total of fourteen sections (5) of equal length, of which seven sections (5) form the outer surface of each element (2). 4. System according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sections (5) forming the circumferential line of the first paving stone and, if applicable, such a section and the dummy joint (3) at tapered corner areas (4) of the star form a first angle (α) that opens towards the middle of the paving stone (1), and at their intersection points (6) between the tapered corner areas form a second angle (ß) that opens towards the outside of the paving stone (1), the second angle (ß) being larger than the first angle (α). 5.
