Description

The invention relates to liquid asphalt mixtures with two coordinated components that can be stored separately and mixed when required by adding a certain amount of water.

The products used so far had disadvantages in terms of durability, adhesion to the substrate and mixing behavior.

This has caused difficulties, particularly when used in damaged areas on the road and when filling uneven surfaces in other applications.

The errors that occurred quickly led to damage to the patches. This meant that restrictions on the installation options with the previous liquid asphalt were necessary.

The task is to provide a liquid asphalt mixture that can be stirred into a mix that is easy to work with even after a long storage period.

These objects are achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the claims.

It has been shown that very durable and easy-to-work asphalt coatings can be produced using a special recipe of washed crushed sand, special fillers and cement, and possibly the addition of fine chippings.

The invention is explained in more detail below using several examples. Three different recipes are given that can be used to produce the mineral component:

The recipes mentioned above are suitable:

for the repair of damaged areas and outbreaks,

- for adjustments to road installations, such as shafts, valves, etc., for filling unevenness and profile deviations, for filling boreholes,

- for reworking on breakouts and

for filling milled marking areas.

These recipes are processed as follows:

1. The surface to be treated must be freed of loose particles and dust. The surface boundaries must be taped off to ensure a clean appearance. Then you can moisten the surface.

2. Component A, consisting of a special bitumen emulsion according to claim 4, shake in the bottle and - if necessary - stir, pour into the mixing vessel and then fill the empty bottle up to the mark with water and pour in.

3. Component B ₇ , consisting of a mineral mixture, is added to the liquid in portions according to recipe 1-3 and mixed well. A shovel or mortar trowel, or possibly an electric stirrer, should be used to stir the mass.

4. Now you can pour the compound onto the damaged area, spread it quickly and smooth it out. The work is done with a trowel, spatula and screed or buffing pad - depending on the size of the area.

Due to its special composition, the product according to the invention can be easily mixed directly on site without motor-mechanical aids and is very environmentally friendly, since only water is added instead of solvents.

The mixing behavior was always perfect even after a long storage period and the adhesion to the substrate was at a very high level, as is required for such patches. This has significantly improved the processing and storage options.

The suitability of all materials used was demonstrated by the following tests.

1. Test: Shaking abrasion according to "Schulze-Breuer", ÄKB guideline

2. Test: Electronically controlled stirring test for quality

3. Test: Adhesion test on standardized substrate

by shearing (according to DIN).

The suitability of the adhesive additive must be demonstrated using the "Schulze-Breuer" test. This is to determine whether abrasion is reduced by this additive. Only adhesive additives that meet this condition are suitable for use in the liquid asphalt according to the invention.
