Tensioning cable device in an aluminum housing, especially for attaching curtains.

Commercially available stainless steel tensioning cable devices for attaching curtains in the living area consist of individually manufactured individual components that require complex production. This inevitably leads to high manufacturing costs and correspondingly high sales prices. In these models, the fastening and tensioning mechanism is integrated into the housing parts. In simple terms, the device consists of an outer and an inner tube, with an inner and outer thread, which are screwed into one another. The steel cable is connected to the movable tube part and is tensioned by screwing this tube into the second tube. Models made of injection-molded plastic are considerably cheaper to manufacture and sell, have a simpler fastening and tensioning mechanism, but only partially meet the requirements placed on such a product in terms of the choice of material, their execution and their design.

The invention set out in claims 1 and 2 implements the requirement of producing an individual tensioning cable device made of high-quality materials at low cost through the use of ironware finished parts and aluminum semi-finished products (aluminum round tube 6 and angle spacer 9). Features include the robust tensioning mechanism, the convenient handling, i.e. the simple fastening of the steel cable in the hexagon screw (4), the easy tensioning using the turnbuckle (3) with a long tensioning range, the precious metal version (anodized aluminum), the functional technical design.

The fastening parts with turnbuckle (1, 2, 3, Fig. 1) are standard items from specialist retailers, the hexagon screw (4) in which the steel tensioning cable is fixed is a special construction that is mounted in place of the eyebolt. It is used to make it easier to fasten the steel cable, which otherwise has to be guided conventionally over a thimble and then attached to a wire rope clamp. An additional benefit of this construction is that the technical part takes up less space.

The fastening and tensioning elements used to achieve the cable tension are covered by the aluminium round tube (6, 7) by simply pushing it over the entire technical parts up to the wall (Fig. 2). The steel cable (5) that runs through the tip of the cone (7) serves as the guide rail here, and at the other end the tube (6) is held in position by the wall hook (1). No tensioning forces act on the aluminium tube, which is why the cone end piece (7) is only attached (Fig. 7). In addition to the optical function of covering the technical part, the aluminium tube also has the function of a safety lock when mounting on the wall. When the aluminium tube is in its end position, it prevents the eyebolt (2) from sliding up over the wall hook (1, Fig. 1). The aluminium tube is made from a semi-finished aluminium round tube, only the tip is turned and drilled separately from solid aluminium. The aluminum tube and the end piece are anodized for finishing. As the sleeve (6, 7) consists of two parts that are joined together, the aluminum tube (6) can be combined with the various end pieces (7a - 7e). The two parts can also be anodized in different colors before assembly.

The angle spacer (9, Fig. 3, 4) serves as a tensioning cable if there is no front wall surface for fastening the wall hook (1). In this case, the eyebolt (2) is replaced by the Phillips screw (8). This is guided from behind through the vertical part of the angle spacer and screwed into the turnbuckle (3). Then, here too, the aluminum tube with end piece is pushed over the technical parts. Dimensions of angle spacer: 85 x 60 x 10 x 20 mm. The aluminum sleeve is guided by the steel cable at the tip (7), and at the other end the tube (6) is pushed onto the nose (09) of the angle (9, Fig. 4, Fig. 6).

Fig. 10, Fig. 11 and Fig. 12 show the 3 different mounting options for the tensioning cable device, with and without use of the angle spacer bracket.

Tension cable device in an aluminium housing, for wall-to-wall mounting or, using an angle spacer, for wall-to-ceiling mounting, in particular for attaching curtains, characterized, that the entire technology of the tensioning and fastening mechanism (1 - 4, Fig.1) is enclosed by an aluminium round tube, 0 20 mm, I = 160 mm (6, Fig. 2) with a conical end piece (7) attached, that a standard tension lock is used as the tensioning element, which, for easier assembly of the steel cable and for a more compact design, instead of the second eyebolt with thimble and wire rope clamp, a specially manufactured hexagon or round head screw (4) is used, which takes a 2 mm steel cable (5) in the longitudinal hole of its 17 mm long head, which is fixed there by 2 further screws (11, Fig.9) running vertically above and below, that the aluminium tube (6), after it has been pushed over, serves as a safety lock for the wall fastening parts (1,2). 2. Tensioning cable device according to claim 1 that when mounting with the angle spacer (9) the wall mounting hook (1) is omitted and a Phillips screw (8) is used instead of the eyebolt (2) (Fig. 3).
