The invention relates to an envelope which consists of a square sheet of paper, folded and provided with only one slit; can be used in particular for advertising. '

Previous envelopes are designed in such a way that they are a closed paper structure except for the insertion opening, into which a letter or a written piece of paper is inserted. The envelope is then closed by a rubberized top flap arranged on the envelope.

With these envelopes, areas are usually not labelled or printed, except for an address field. This means that areas are lost that could be used for information or advertising, for example.

The present invention is based on the task of creating an envelope whose outer and inner surfaces can be used, while at the same time achieving an additional effective advertising effect through external and internal advertising messages and avoiding the usual destruction of the envelope during the opening process and the associated readability of the advertising message or content. ■ -

To solve this problem, the invention proposes that an envelope

a) . a square sheet of paper, preferably of a size of approx. 29.5 x 29.5 cm, with an edgewise rotation of 45°, in the longitudinal central axis extending over the entire length, and

(b) has a first transverse fold line extending transversely thereto on or in the region of ¹ A of its length and a second transverse fold line extending transversely thereto on or in the region of ³ A of its length, both transverse fold lines extending over the entire width of the sheet, and

c) parallel to the longitudinal fold line, which is located on the longitudinal central axis, there is another longitudinal fold line and yet another longitudinal fold line at equal distances of approximately 10.5 cm from this,

d) so that, depending on the longitudinal and transverse fold lines, four surface areas with equal surface areas and dimensions result,

d) furthermore, a slit of approximately 10 cm in an area parallel to the longitudinal fold line, which is located on the longitudinal central axis, at a distance of approximately 5 cm and at the same time from the center of the square sheet,

e) the three equal surface portions are folded forward in the same direction around the longitudinal or transverse fold lines, and folded again in the same direction along the longitudinal fold line, which extends across the entire width of the sheet, and the sheet layers thus formed are held together by the lower surface portion, which is folded in the same direction along its longitudinal fold line and inserted into the slit.

Thanks to the solution according to the invention, the envelope has a spatial shape such that both sides of the sheet from which it is folded are used. The user can easily make a complete envelope from this cut by straightening the side parts one after the other and folding them together again around the longitudinal center axis and inserting the last remaining side part into the existing slot. The envelope therefore has an inside with information or printed advertising and an outside.

The envelope meets all practical and postal requirements for a closed envelope.

An address sticker (7) can also help to ensure the envelope stays in place and can be attached after the entire fold. This creates an envelope that is closed on all sides and, thanks to its special folding, protects the inside of the sheet from external influences and moisture. By carefully removing the label, the envelope can be opened without destroying the contents.

The unique folding technique, which consists of one piece and does not require any gluing or gumming, has resulted in a striking advertising effect. The envelope stands out visually and is an eye-catcher for the recipient, arousing interest.

Color images and lettering are preferred to convey the desired information or advertising. A reply card measuring 15.0 x 10.0 cm can also be enclosed without it falling out of the envelope.

From FIG. 1 it can be seen that, assuming a length of the square sheet of approximately 29.5 x 29.5 cm with an edgewise rotation of 45°, a longitudinal fold line (1) of approximately 42.0 cm results over the entire longitudinal center axis. The first and second transverse fold lines (2,3) run on or in the region of ¹ A and ³ A of its lengths, respectively. Both transverse fold lines (2,3) extend over the entire width of the sheet.

Parallel to the longitudinal fold line (1) at the same distance as the transverse fold lines (2,3) there are two longitudinal fold lines (4,5), all of which are the same distance from the center of the sheet (F), so that four equally sized surface areas (A, B, C, D) result. Furthermore, a slit (6) of approx. 10 cm in length can be seen in the surface part (E), which is parallel to the longitudinal fold line (1) at a distance of approx. 5 cm from the center (7).

The areas A, B, C and D are provided with colour prints (images, writings, symbols, etc.) which extend over a large area to the centre point (7).

In FIG. 2 it can be seen that area A is folded in the same direction along the cross fold line (2). It can also be provided with color prints (images, writing, symbols, etc.) on the now visible back side in order to use the area for advertising.

In FIG. 3, area B is folded in the same direction along the cross fold line (3). It can be used with color prints as in FIG.

In FIG. 4, the area C is folded along the longitudinal fold line (4). It can be provided with color prints as in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3.

In FIG. 5 it can be seen that the front of the envelope is now visible if the fold is made in the same direction around the longitudinal center axis (1).

In FIG. 6 only the area portion D is now exposed.

In FIG. 7 it can be seen that if the surface portion D is folded upwards in the same direction and inserted into the existing slot (6), the envelope is closed.

FIG. 8 shows the closed envelope viewed from the front. The field (7) for the address label is visible.

FIG. 9 shows the closed envelope viewed from behind. The specified field can be used for the sender.

Envelope, characterized by
that a) a square sheet of paper, preferably of a size of approximately 29.5 x 29.5 cm, with a vertical rotation of 45° in the central axis of the paper, extending over the entire length and having a longitudinal fold line (1) of approximately 42.0 cm and b) running transversely thereto on or in the region of ¹ A of its length has a first transverse fold line (2) of approximately 10.5 cm and on or in the region of ³ A of its length ' has a second transverse fold line (3) of approximately 10.5 cm, both transverse fold lines ' (2,3) extending over the entire width of the sheet, and c) parallel to the longitudinal fold line (1) there is another longitudinal fold line (4) and another longitudinal fold line (5) each at a distance of approximately 10.5 cm from the longitudinal fold line (1), \ d) so that the longitudinal and transverse fold lines (2,3,4,5) result in the 'area areas (A ₅ B ₅ C ₉ D) with equal area proportions and dimensions, d) there is also a slit (6) of approximately 10 cm in an area (E) parallel to the longitudinal fold line (1) at a distance of approximately 5 cm and at the same time from the center point (F) of the square sheet.
