Reversible inscription and symbol carrier for gravestones

State of the art:

Symbols and inscriptions on gravestones made of stone, wood, metal and artificial conglomerates are cut, hewn, milled or punched into the block by removing mass. In addition, it is possible to permanently anchor inscriptions and symbols to the gravestone as separate components (in the form of reliefs, individual letters or so-called lattice writing). The only exceptions are gravestones that are made using the casting process and in which the inscription and symbol are integrated into the mold.

Problem:

The invention specified in claims 1 and 2 is based on the problem that gravestones must be removed from the grave at the expense of the relatives after the right to use the grave has expired. They are then crushed and thrown away or, at great expense, converted into thinner gravestones (only if the material is sufficiently thick), or they are used as building material. In any case, substance is lost.

Gravestones serve as a memorial to the deceased. After the right to use the gravesite has expired, it is only in very rare cases that relatives have the opportunity to keep the usually large memorial in their home environment. It is removed by the craftsman and is no longer available to relatives as a form of remembrance.

Solution:

These problems are solved with the features listed in protection claims 1 and 2. The inscription (1) and symbol (2) turn the gravestone into a personal memorial. If the inscription (1) and symbol (2) are combined with a separate support (I) that can be removed from the gravestone (III) using a special holder (II) after the right of use of the grave has expired, without damaging it (the inscription support) or the gravestone, this offers relatives the opportunity to keep the inscription and symbol support (I) in conjunction with a smaller base (V) in the home (apartment, garden, etc.).

The gravestone with the permanently embedded sockets (8) can be reused in conjunction with another inscription and symbol carrier. This is simply screwed to the gravestone.

The separation of the inscription and symbol carrier and the gravestone reduces the economic risk that arises from processing errors. These errors can only occur within a limited scope of the inscription and symbol carrier (this includes errors in the spelling of names, in the dates of birth and death, but also in the design of the symbolic representations). The gravestone itself, with its usually high material value, is not affected by this.

Reversible inscription and symbol carrier (I) for gravestones made of stone, wood, metal and artificial conglomerates (e.g. concrete), which is characterized by that it can be screwed to the tomb (III) using at least one special bracket (II), that after the expiry of the right of use of the grave site, it can be removed from the gravestone (III) using the screwable brackets (II). 2. Inscription and symbol carriers according to protection claim 1, which is characterized by that it has the possibility to accommodate (IV) bushings (5) of the special brackets (II), whereby the brackets (6) are rotatably mounted in these bushings (5), but can be screwed to the bushings (8) that are mounted in the tomb, that it can be screwed to a base (V) that is smaller than the gravestone, and can therefore be placed securely in the home.
