Die vorliegende Neuerung betrifft eine Schutzhülle für flächige Gegenstände, insbesondere für Postkarten, ein- oder mehrlagige Grußkarten und/oder Briefumschläge.The present innovation concerns a protective cover for flat objects, in particular for postcards, single or multi-layered greeting cards and/or envelopes.

Derartige Schutzhüllen dienen im wesentlichen dazu, den umhüllten Gegenstand, wie z.B. eine Postkarte oder ähnliches, davor zu schützen, daß Ecken und Kanten vor der eigentlichen Benutzung umgeknickt, eingerissen oder angestoßen werden. Zudem soll der umhüllte Gegenstand vor Verschmutzung bewahrt werden. Bekannte, für diesen Zweck verwendete Schutzhüllen bestehen in der Rege! aus Klarsichtfolie, wie Cellophanfolie oder Kunststoffolie, und umgeben die zu schützende Postkarte oder ähnliches vollständig. Zum Verschließen der Schutzhülle ist diese meistens zugeklebt, oder der zu schützende Gegenstand ist darin eingeschweißt. Ein wesentlicher Nachteil derartiger Schutzhüllen, der gerade hinsichtlich der heutigen Abfallproblematik besonders zum Tragen kommt, ist, daß derartige Klarsichtfolien in ihrer Hersteilung aber auch bei ihrer Entsorgung besonders umweltunfreundlich sind.Such protective covers essentially serve to protect the wrapped object, such as a postcard or similar, from corners and edges being bent, torn or knocked before it is actually used. Ein Vorteil dieser Schutzhülle besteht darin, daß sie aus einem nicht transparenten Material bestehen kann und dennoch Bereiche des Inhalts, wie z.B. das Motiv einer Postkarte, aufgrund der ausgeschnittenen Öffnung sichtbar sind. Bevorzugt ist die Schutzhülle aus einem einzigen Stück ausgebildet, wodurch keine hohen Herstellungs-oder Nachbearbeitungskosten anfallen. Zudem erleichtert eine aus einem einzigen Stück gefertigte Schutzhülle deren Handhabung und macht die Verwendung von Klebstoffen zum Zusammenfügen einzelner Teile der Schutzhülle überflüssig.The protective cover is preferably made of paper and/or cardboard.
