BeschreibungDescription
Gewindehülse zur Justierung und Halterung eines Scheinwerfers an einer FahrzeugkarosserieThreaded sleeve for adjusting and holding a headlight on a vehicle body
The invention relates to a threaded sleeve for adjusting and holding a headlight on a vehicle body with an external thread which serves for the axial adjustment of the threaded sleeve on the headlight, with an end face through which the headlight can be placed on the vehicle body and with a through-opening for a fastening bolt through which the headlight can be fastened to the vehicle body.
Bei mehreren Gewindegängen im Kernloch ist deren Herstellung kostenintensiv.DE 42 28 889 A1 discloses a threaded sleeve for adjusting and holding a headlight of a vehicle body, which is screwed into a core hole provided with an internal thread in an outer wall of a headlight housing. The headlight can be placed against the vehicle body with a front face of the threaded sleeve in a body opening. By turning the threaded sleeve, the headlight can be adjusted in the adjustment direction of the threaded sleeve. Several threaded sleeves can be attached to the headlight. After it has been adjusted, the headlight can be secured to the vehicle body by fastening bolts. Screws are used as fastening bolts, the threaded shaft of which passes through a through hole in the threaded sleeve, the threaded shaft engages a nut on the vehicle body, and the head of which rests against a front face of the threaded sleeve facing away from the vehicle body. The core hole of the headlight has only one thread, so that the production of the thread is cost-effective. The disadvantage here is that the headlight has to be adjusted on the vehicle, as the threaded sleeve can adjust itself until the headlight is fixed to the vehicle. If there are several threads in the core hole, their production is costly.
The object of the invention is to design the threaded sleeve described in the generic term for adjusting and holding a headlight on a vehicle body in such a way that the threaded sleeve can automatically cut a thread in a core hole and no cutting chip emerges from the core hole, which could falsify a measurement result when adjusting the threaded sleeve and then lead to an inaccurate mounting position of the headlight on the vehicle body. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the threaded sleeve has a cutting edge on its external thread for automatically cutting an internal thread and a chip recess adjacent to the cutting edge, which is spaced from the front surface serving as a support.
After being screwed into a core hole in the headlight, the threaded sleeve is held securely in the core hole because the threaded sleeve engages in the core hole without play and the chips that have accumulated in the chip recess make it difficult to twist the threaded sleeve. This means that the headlight can be adjusted both on the vehicle and beforehand using a measuring device. If the headlight is adjusted using a sensitive measuring device, chips that are created when the thread is cut cannot distort the measurement result because the chips collect in the chip recess and do not escape from the core hole, as is usually the case when cutting a thread.
If a large amount of chips is generated, it is advantageous if the threaded sleeve has a chip recess on opposite sides of its outer surface.
The chip trough and the cutting edge formed by it can be produced simply and easily using a milling cutter if the cutting edge describes a circular arc section in a view transverse to the longitudinal axis of the threaded sleeve and the chip trough has a segment of a circular surface adjacent to the cutting edge. The chip trough has a particularly simple shape in which the cutting edge is formed by a section of the lateral surface and the segment is formed by the thick surface of a cylinder whose longitudinal axis runs at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the threaded sleeve.
Um sicherzustellen, daß die Gewindehülse möglichst leichtgängig in das Kernloch eindrehbar ist und trotzdem keine Späne aus dem Kernloch austreten können, ist esTo ensure that the threaded sleeve can be screwed into the core hole as easily as possible and yet no chips can escape from the core hole, it is
It is also advantageous if the threaded sleeve has a section between the chip recess and the front surface serving as a support, which has a smaller external diameter than the external thread in the area of the cutting edge. The longer the section in the adjustment direction of the threaded sleeve, the greater the possible adjustment path. In this context, it is particularly advantageous if at least one thread of the external thread runs in the section, which has a smaller external diameter than the external thread in the area of the cutting edge. As a result, the threaded sleeve in this section only lies linearly on the inside of the core hole and the thread is only cut at the cutting edge that is spaced apart from the front surface serving as a support. It is also advantageous if the section of the threaded sleeve has an external diameter that is approximately the same as the diameter of a core hole in the vehicle headlight and the threaded sleeve can be screwed into a sleeve-shaped housing part of the vehicle headlight made of plastic, the threaded sleeve being made of metal.
It is also advantageous if the through-opening on the side of the threaded sleeve facing away from the front surface serving as the attachment has a rotating device for holding a tool. This means that the threaded sleeve is small in size and can still be screwed into a core hole in the headlight with a large torque. After being inserted into the through-opening, the tool is in engagement with the rotating device of the threaded sleeve.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel nach der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt, und zwar zeigenAn embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely show

Auf der der Stirnfläche (5) abgewandten Seite der Gewindehülse (1) ist in die Durchgangsöffnung (6) der Gewindehülse (1) eine Drehvorrichtung (14) eingebracht und die Drehvorrichtung (14) istFigures 1 and 2 show a sleeve-shaped housing part (13) of a housing of a headlight (2) for vehicles made of plastic. The sleeve-shaped housing part (13) is supported by an outer wall of the housing. The inside of the sleeve-shaped housing part (13) is smooth after the housing of the headlight (2) has been removed from the mold and defines a core hole (12) for a threaded sleeve (1). The threaded sleeve (1) is made of a metal, such as tempered case-hardened steel. The threaded sleeve (1) has a single-start external thread (4) on its outer surface and a chip recess (9) with a cutting edge (8) on opposite sides of its outer surface. The chip recesses (9) are made by a cylindrical milling cutter. The surface of the chip recess (9) is thus the section of a cylinder. The longitudinal axis of the cylinder runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the threaded sleeve (1) and the lateral surfaces of both cylinders border on a common central plane of the threaded sleeve (1), with the cylinders each being arranged on one side of the central plane. The chip troughs (9) thus have a segment (10) of the top surface of the cylinder and a cylindrical lateral surface section (16). The chip troughs (9) have a sharp outer edge on their cylindrical lateral surface section (16), which serves as a cutting edge (8). The cutting edge (8) describes a circular arc section when viewed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the threaded sleeve (1). The chip troughs (9) together with their cutting edge (8) are at a distance from an end face (5) of the threaded sleeve (1). The headlight (2) can be placed against the vehicle body (3) using the end face (5). The section (11) of the threaded sleeve (1) that runs between the chip recess (9) and the front face (5) has a thread of the external thread (4). This thread has an external diameter that corresponds approximately to the internal diameter of the core hole (12) in the sleeve-shaped housing part (13). On the side of the threaded sleeve (1) facing away from the front face (5), a rotating device (14) is inserted into the through-opening (6) of the threaded sleeve (1), and the rotating device (14) is
durch einen sechseckigen zylindrischen Innenflächenabschnitt der Durchgangsöffnung (6) gebildet.formed by a hexagonal cylindrical inner surface section of the through opening (6).
Before the headlight (2) is attached to the vehicle body (3), the threaded sleeve (1) is screwed into the core hole (12) of the sleeve-shaped housing part (13) using a tool (15) with a hexagonal cross-section, which is inserted into the turning device (14). First, the section (11) is screwed into the core hole (12). The section (11) lies with its thread, which has a smaller external diameter than the rest of the external thread (4), linearly on the inside of the core hole (12) and does not cut a thread. Only after the cutting edge (8) has entered the core hole (12) does the threaded sleeve (1) automatically cut a thread into the sleeve-shaped housing part (13). The chips that are produced in this process collect in the chip grooves (9). As long as the chip recesses are inside the sleeve-shaped housing part (13), the chips cannot escape from the core hole. Therefore, the length of the section (11) in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the threaded sleeve (1) corresponds to the largest possible adjustment path. The threaded sleeve (1) has a circumferential flange (17) on the side of the turning device (14). This means that the threaded sleeve (1) can only be screwed into the core hole (12) up to this flange (17) and it is certain that the chip recesses (9) will not be screwed out of the core hole (12). The threaded sleeve (1) is adjusted using a measuring device (18) which rests against the front surface (5). Since no chips can escape from the core hole (12), the measurement result remains unadulterated even with a sensitive measuring device. This ensures that the headlight (2) is positioned precisely relative to the vehicle after it has been attached to the vehicle body (3). After the headlight (2) has been attached to the vehicle body (3), a fastening bolt (7), which is a screw, is inserted through the threaded sleeve (1). The fastening bolt (7) rests with a head on the threaded sleeve (1) and is screwed to a nut on the vehicle body (3) with a threaded shaft protruding from the threaded sleeve (1). If several threaded sleeves (1) are attached to the headlight (2), one threaded sleeve (1) can, for example, run vertically with its longitudinal axis, another with its longitudinal axis horizontally and transversely to the vehicle's longitudinal axis, and another parallel to the vehicle's longitudinal axis.
