There is currently no suitable container that combines the holding of a beverage carton with its opening and then allows for direct emptying.

Rather, a separate, problematic opening of the beverage carton is always necessary, even if the beverage carton itself can be placed in a suitable container before or after opening. The known containers do not, or at least do not satisfactorily, prevent the pouring problems from the open beverage carton caused by a lack of or insufficient air supply.

The problems that arise when using an opened beverage carton can only be reliably eliminated by pouring the drinking liquid from the beverage carton into a container suitable for pouring.

Drinking liquids (milk, water, juices, wine, etc.) are offered and sold in large quantities in containers made of coated cardboard (drink cartons) in various sizes (1/8 to 2 liters) and used in households, offices, restaurants, large kitchens, etc. The drink cartons have a square or mostly rectangular base and - depending on the volume - different heights.

Opening and then emptying the drinking liquid directly from the beverage carton is problematic for the following reasons:

To do this, one or two corners can be cut out of the fold in the upper part of the beverage carton, which must first be raised, so that the liquid can be poured out from one corner.

Even when cutting off the corner(s), there is a risk that liquid will accidentally spill out of the beverage carton.

If only one corner is cut off, the liquid will spill out at more or less irregular intervals when pouring due to the lack of air supply and will almost inevitably cause splashing and spilling, which is further exacerbated by the fact that pressure is exerted on the outer wall of the carton by manually holding the beverage carton.

If you remove one corner from each side, i.e. two corners in total, from the fold, the extra effort improves the air supply required for even pouring, but grabbing the still-full beverage carton is more likely to cause splashing and spilling. If, as an alternative to cutting off the one corner, you also drill a sufficiently large hole in the beverage carton, the need to hold the beverage carton for this process and the subsequent pouring often also results in the liquid spilling out unintentionally.

In addition, liquid often spills out of opened but still largely full beverage cartons that are placed in the refrigerator door when the refrigerator is closed and opened.

Even a conventional protective container does not eliminate these disadvantages, or at least not completely, since it always requires the beverage carton to be opened separately in the manner described above or in a similar way, always remains open at the top and does not prevent irregular pouring or unwanted spilling in the refrigerator door.

Finally, the beverage cartons that are regularly designed as advertising media generally do not satisfy the aesthetic demands of a cultivated table culture.

These problems are solved by the measures of claims 1 to 3.

Advantageous effect of the invention

The invention avoids the laborious separate opening of a beverage carton, which in itself entails the risk of spilling and mess. Rather, the beverage carton can be opened as soon as it is placed in the carton by means of a device fitted inside the carton, without the problems of splashing and messing described above, and can then be emptied directly without any corresponding problems. There is no need to pour the carton into another container separately, even when it comes to storing the beverage in the refrigerator.

In any case, the opening of the beverage carton is essentially carried out by means of the device located inside the carton and, in the case of the lid version (protection claim according to point 3), exclusively with the further aid of the tip(s) attached to the underside of the lid.

The inclusion in the bag jug also avoids the view of the respective drinks carton. With a corresponding external design, the bag jug can be adapted to the respective aesthetic requirements (design, for example according to motifs of well-known porcelain series, etc.).

Description of the invention

The invention represents a pouring vessel for drinking liquids (4) contained in beverage cartons (3), the interior of which is divided into two main areas, namely, on the one hand, a hollow space (1), the volume of which is slightly larger than the size of the beverage carton to be held in each case, and, on the other hand, a hollow mandrel (2) attached to the bottom of the hollow space with an adjoining channel (5) located under the bottom of the hollow space and, adjoining this, a riser tube (6) arranged on the front of the pouring vessel, which opens into a pouring spout (7).

When the beverage carton (3) is inserted into the cavity (1) (described below), the hollow mandrel (2) penetrates the bottom of the beverage carton (3). The drinking liquid (4) then flows through the hollow mandrel (2) according to the well-known principle of communicating tubes through the channel (5) into the riser tube (6) in the front part of the cone jug.

In addition, the invention can be provided with a lid (9) which, when placed on the container, inevitably pierces another hole (11) in the upper part of the beverage carton (3) through a tip (10) attached to the underside of the lid for further air supply. The lid (9) also has the function of always holding the beverage carton firmly in the carton.

For hygienic reasons, the hollow mandrel (2) is sealed (8) against the bottom of the beverage carton (3) so that the drinking liquid (4) cannot enter the hollow space (1) and does not come into contact with the outside of the beverage carton.

To facilitate the pouring process, the bag jug has either a handle (12) or recessed grips (not shown in the drawing).

The bag jug can be made of different materials, e.g. hard plastic, ceramic, porcelain, metal.

The invention is to be used as follows:

The part of the hollow space (1) of the bag jug that is open at the top is put over the beverage carton (3) to be emptied and pressed down; in the process (at least) one pointed hollow mandrel (2) pierces the bottom of the beverage carton (3). The bag jug is then turned over with the beverage carton (3) in the hollow space (1). The drinking liquid (4) then flows through the hollow mandrel (2) through the channel (5) into the riser tube (6) in the front part of the bag jug.

After turning the bag jug over, another hole (11) for additional air supply is pierced by placing the lid (9) in the upper part of the beverage carton (3) through a point (10) attached to the underside of the lid. In the version without a lid (9), a hole for additional, but not absolutely necessary, air supply can be made in another way.

The drinking liquid (4) can now be poured out gradually and completely through the spout (7) without any problems.
