Description
Like. Cuttings which has a rotor, which is arranged in a housing and is driven by an internal combustion engine, which sucks the material in via a suction line and discharges it from the rotor housing via a pressure line
In known devices of this type, for example grass collecting devices, there is generally a special one. rer internal combustion engine provided to drive the rotor serving to promote the goods, as mostly the Performance of the tractor, which usually carries the mower or the like and moves the entire device forward is not sufficient to also operate the feed rotor. They are also commonly used for mowing of grass or the like. Relatively small tractors are used that do not have a power take-off shaft, so that: -uch for this reason a connection of the feed rotor for the mown or the like is not possible. always proceeded in such a way that the internal combustion engine driving the rotor has a complete Owned exhaust system with silencer. It has been shown, however, that with a reasonable effort only a comparatively modest sound attenuation can be achieved significantly below 80dba has so far practically never been achieved.
Another problem with the known devices with a conveyor rotor for the clippings is that the clippings may get stuck at the beginning of the pressure line, ie the outlet from the rotor housing, which happens easily especially when it is moist acts or the material to be conveyed gets stuck due to unevenness in the rotor housing , in order to avoid such blockages or congestion of the conveyed material, the mowing process or the picking up of the material had to be interrupted from time to time until the outlet opening of the rotor housing again was free.
The invention is based on the object of designing a device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that that the noise development compared to the known devices is considerably reduced and at the same time the Risk of blockage of the pressure line is reduced.
To solve this problem, it is proposed according to the invention to design the generic device in such a way that that the outlet of the exhaust line of the internal combustion engine via an inlet opening sealingly into the Rotor housing opens. In the device according to the invention, the exhaust gases of the internal combustion engine are thus not at the end of the exhaust pipe to the outside, but into the rotor housing is achieved on the one hand that an additional sound insulation takes place in the pressure line and that especially when clippings or the like are conveyed through the pressure line. Furthermore, the introduction has the Aaspuffgase in the rotor housing the advantage that the risk of clogging of the pressure line compared to known devices is considerably reduced. The relatively warm exhaust gases entering lead to a loosening of the material to be conveyed, possibly also to a certain degree of drying Scope. The loosening is mainly promoted by the fact that the exhaust gases come from the internal combustion engine in cycles or pulses, so that, as it were, rhythmic impacts on the good to be promoted. With the device according to the invention one thus achieves with extremely little structural effort on the one hand a very significant additional sound absorption and it can at the same time the Operational safety can be increased after the risk of clogging compared to known devices significantly is decreased.
Particularly favorable operating properties are obtained if, in a further embodiment of the invention, the Inlet opening is arranged in the pressure-side area of the rotor housing. With such an arrangement the inlet opening is on the one hand the best effect in terms of keeping the pressure line free of On the other hand, especially when the inlet opening is arranged at this point, the Suction generated by the rotor via the exhaust line to the internal combustion engine in the sense of suction the combustion gases and thus a better purging of the engine. It can even be one Improvement of the pressure performance of the rotor due to the inherent combustion gases emitted Energy to be expected.
As already mentioned, in principle a considerable improvement in sound absorption can be achieved Introduction of the exhaust gases into the rotor housing can be achieved. This improve the sound insulation is generally so high that in a preferred embodiment of the device according to the Invention in the exhaust line of the internal combustion engine no silencer is to be provided.
If, as further provided according to the invention, the internal combustion engine is arranged directly next to the rotor housing, there is the advantage that a relatively short exhaust line is sufficient, so that the costs for the exhaust of the internal combustion engine are correspondingly low. In addition, the risk for the operator of being burned on the hot exhaust line is of course reduced in comparison with the known devices with a complete exhaust system. The same also applies to the previously always present danger that if the fuel is carelessly refilled, it could get onto the hot exhaust pipe and ignite.
