Unter die Nagelköpfe ist ein Blechstreifen e gelegt, damit die Köpfe der Nägel sich nicht durchdrücken können. Die auf die vorhandene Schuhsohle α zu liegen kommende Fläche der neuen Sohle δ ist mit dickflüssigem Terpentin bestrichen, der in der beim Gebrauch entstehenden Wärme eine klebrige Beschaffenheit erhält und dadurch ein Festhaften der Sohlen α und b bewirkt. Ferner werden die beiden Sohlen noch durch ein kräftiges Gummiband g zusammengehalten, das mit seinen Enden an beiden Seiten der Sohle festgemacht ist und unter straffer Spannung derart um die Sohle b gelegt wird, daß die eine Längsseite in den Randeinschnitt c der Sohle b zu liegen kommt, während die andere Längsseite um den Rand der alten Sohle herumgreift und so gleichfalls eine feste Verbindung der Sohle α mit der Sohle b herstellt.
