Abstract

The transfer and stacking devices form cassettes which hold the bricks so the latter cannot tilt while they are being transferred to the kiln cars. The pref. plant consists of several conveyors, and a tilting device which tilts each brick through 90 degrees so the bricks stand on edge on an intermediate conveyor. This conveyor and the subsequent stacking appts. are fitted with side rails which align the rows of bricks and also prevent the bricks from falling over. The overall result is a reliable stacker which eliminates manual labour.
