Abstract

The carpet cleaning process, using a foam applicator, is carried out in two working steps. In the first one, pressure air from a blower, included into the foam cleaner is supplied into cleaning liquid which can be foamed. The foamed liquid is supplied to a brush roller, driven by the blower motor, which provides the cleaning action over the carpet. The suction channel of the brush roller chamber, connected to the suction side of the blower, is closed by a change-over device during the application of the cleaning foam. Simultaneously, a suction port outside the brush roller chamber, is freed. In the second working step, the cleaning foam applied to the carpet is sucked away and fed into a retaining container. During this step the suction channel is opened by the change-over device and the suction port is closed. For thorough exhausting of the applied cleaning foam, the container of the cleaning liquid is filled with an appropriate rinsing liquid, which is then supplied to the brush roller for application to the carpet.

Description

Verfahren zum Reinigen von Teppichen unter VerwendungMethod of cleaning carpets using

eines Schaumreini aunasgerätes Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Reinigen von Teppichen unter Verwendung eines Schaumreinigungsgerätes, bei welchem Verfahren während eines ersten Arbeitsganges die Druckluft eines im Schaumreinigungsgerät angeordneten Gebläseaggregates in einen eine verschäumbare Reinigungsflüssigkeit enthaltenden Behälter geleitet und die Reinigungsflüssigkeit durch die Wirkung der Druckluft über eine Schaumerzeugungsvorrichtung verschäumt und der hierbei entstehende Reinigungsschaum einer vom Motor des Gebläseaggregates angetriebenen Bürstenwalze zugeführt und durch diese in den Teppich eingearbeitet wird, wobei der mit der Saugseite des Gebläseaggregates verbundene Ansaugkanal des BUrstenwalzenraumes während des Auftragens des Reinigungsschaumes mittels einer Schaltvorrichtung verschlossen und gleichzeitig eine außerhalb des Bürstenwalzenraumes vorgesehene Ansaugöffnung freigegeben wird, bei welchem Verfahren ferner in einem zweiten Arbeitsgang der auf den Teppich aufgebrachte Reinigungsschaum aufgesaugt und in einen Aufnahmebehälter gefördert wird, wobei der Ansaugkanal durch Betätigen der Umschaltvorrichtung freigegeben und die Ansaugöffnung verschlossen wird.of a foam cleaning device The invention relates to a Method of cleaning carpets using a foam cleaner, in which method the compressed air of an im Foam cleaning device arranged blower unit in a foamable Cleaning liquid containing container passed and the cleaning liquid foamed by the action of the compressed air via a foam generating device and the resulting cleaning foam from the motor of the blower unit driven brush roller fed and incorporated by this into the carpet is, wherein the suction channel connected to the suction side of the blower unit of the Brush roller space during the application of the cleaning foam by means of a Switching device locked and at the same time one outside of the brush roller space provided suction opening is released, in which method also in a In the second step, the cleaning foam applied to the carpet is absorbed and is conveyed into a receptacle, the suction channel by actuation the switching device is released and the suction opening is closed.

According to DE-GN 74 41 369 works according to such a method well-known foam cleaning device. Here at is applied to the carpet The cleaning foam is simply sucked up again in the second step. It has shown that with such a suction a relatively high proportion of the cleaning display wheel remains in the carpet. These residues of cleaning foam in turn lead to a accelerated soiling of the carpet. In addition, the carpet pile can over time stick together so that the carpet becomes unsightly.

The invention is based on the object of a method for cleaning of a carpet to be indicated by the cleaning foam applied to the carpet Lich is removed from the carpet again. The task at hand is successful after the invention in that in the second step a rinsing liquid in filled the container for the cleaning fluid, fed to the brush roller, from this incorporated into the carpet and absorbed together with the cleaning foam and is conveyed into the receiving container. Through the over the Urstenwalze in the Rinsing liquid (water) incorporated into the carpet will thoroughly clean the foam Washed out of the carpet pile and sucked up together with the washing-up liquid.

From DE-GM 75 14 232 a carpet cleaning device is known, where water is spilled onto the carpet using a high-pressure nozzle and then closed by a bristle is worked into the carpet.

Then the water is removed from the carpet again through a suction nozzle sucked off.

Compared to this method, the method described requires a significantly lower equipment costs, since no special pressure generating devices whatsoever and pressure fittings are required. This also makes it possible to carry out the Process necessary foam cleaning device much cheaper and is because of the simpler structure is also less prone to repairs.

By applying the flushing liquid using the roller brush itself, the rinsing liquid is very finely distributed from the outset and through the mechanical impact of the brush roller worked intensively into the carpet. The carpet pile is opened so that the washing liquid can penetrate deeper. This results in a very intensive flushing process.
