Es hat sich die technisch sehr wichtige Tatsache herausgestellt, daß manche mit Erdalkali-
bzw. Schwermetallhydroxyden und Hydrosulfit schwer verküpbare Küpenfarbstoffe, wie z. B. die Benzoylderivate der Aminoanthrachinone,
mit Leichtigkeit verküpt werden, ν wenn man zu der Hydrosulfit und Metallhydroxyd
enthaltenden Farbstoffsuspension geringe Mengen eines Alkalis zusetzt. Die Reduktion
geht, eventuell unter Erwärmen, schnell vor sich, die Küpe zeigt nach der erfolgten
, Reduktion keine alkalische Reaktion mehr, die Leukoverbindung findet sich in der Hauptsache
