Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Dämpfoder Dekatiervorrichtung. Bisher wurden die Stoffe teils in getäfelter und teils in gewickelter Form dekatiert. Erstere Art wird Platten- und letztere Zylinder- oder Walzendekatur genannt. Beide Arten haben Vor- und Nachteile. Die Plattendekatur ist von der Zylinderdekatur fast vollständig verdrängt worden, weil man bei ersterer jedesmal nur einen Teil des Stückes behandeln kann und deshalb zweimal dekatieren muß; ferner auch deshalb, weil man mit der Spannung des Dampfes und der Zeit seiner Einwirkung auf den Stoff sehr beschränkt ist. Die Zylinderdekatur hat gegenüber der Plattendekatur aber den Nachteil, daß' der Stoff bei ihr durch die kreisrunde Wicklung fester liegt und infolgedessen nicht so krumpfen kann wie bei der Plattendekatur, was speziell für das Dekatieren fertiger Ware ein großer Fehler ist.The invention relates to a damping or decating device.
