In der Darstellung gemäß Fig. 1 wird das Blechband 1 von dem Haspelband 2 abgezogen und zunächst an seinen beiden Längsseiten mit den Einschnitten 3 bzw. 4 versehen. Hierfür dienen die beiden übereinander angeordneten Rollenpaare 5 und 6, zwischen denen das Band hindurch geführt wird. Diese sind zahnradförmig ausgebildet und weisen die schrafen sägezahnähnlichen Schnittkanten 7 auf, mit denen die Einschnitte 3 und 4 erzeugt werden. Im unmittelbaren Anschluß daran werden die von den Einschnitten gebildeten Blechzungen 3' und 4' aus der Bandebene abgebogen, und zwar die Zungen 3' nach oben und die Zungen 4' nach unten. Hierfür dienen die Biegerollenpaare 8 und 9, von denen das Rollenpaar 8 eine Biegung um etwa 450 und die Rollenpaare 9 eine Biegung in die Senkrechten bewirken. Danach werden die Blechzungen 4t, welche die Innenrippen bilden, quer zur Längsrichtung des Blechbandes mit Hilfe des zahnradähnlichen Rollenpaares 10 verdreht, welches hierfür ausgebildete Zähne 11 aufweist. Das in dieser Weise zugerichtete Band gelangt dann zu der Wickel- und Schweißstelle 12, wo es schraubenlinienförmig zum Rohr gewickelt wird. Hierfür dienen die Biegerollen 13, die in an sich bekannter Weise käfigartig angeordnet sind (Fig. 7). Im Inneren des sich bildenden Rohres ist eine Andrückrolle 14 vorgesehen. Bei dem Wickelvorgang werden die Längskanten 15 des unverformt gebliebenen Bandmittelteiles 16 aneinander gedrückt und miteinander mittels hoch-, ultra- oder radiofrequenter Ströme verschweißt. Die Stromzufuhr erfolgt mit den Schleif- oder Rollenkontakten 17 und 18 (Fig. 8).
