Abstract

Solid hair-setting compsn. consists of, by wt., pref. 5-30 (5-25)% CaS combined with 5-80 (10-70)% Na- or K carbonate, sulphate, sulphite, phosphate and/or hydrogen phosphate and opt. standard cosmetic additives, esp. thickeners and fillers. The compsns. are stable and odourless, and are easily transported and stored. On mixing with water, the compsn gradually releases an active hair-setting Na- or K sulphide. Water quantity may be 30-300 wt. % of solid compsn. The prod., ready for use, may be a liq., cream or gel, esp. having pH 11.5-13.4.

Eine Verwendung von Ammoniumsulfiden und Bisulfiden kann wegen des entstehenden Schwefelwasserstoffs nicht in Betracht gezogen werden. Demgegenüber sind die wasserlöslichen Sulfide Lithiumsulfid, Natriumsulfid, Kaliumsulfid und Strontiumsulfid zwar geruchlos, jedoch sind diese wegen ihrer zu starken Wirksamkeit auf das Keratin als Bestandteil von Haarverformungsmitteln nicht geeignet.
